I cheat on games that I rent and will never buy or rent again, just to get the most out of it as possible in a limited amount of time

Cheating just makes game life easier : P I find nothing wrong with it. Though, I think you should at least try before you cheat.

I cheat in single player games all the time, mostly just for fun. I play without cheats too, of course, but sometimes there is nothing like popping into godmode and wrecking havoc on a helpless A.I. That said, there are also those who cheat at MMORPGs ("massively multiplayer online role playing games" for those who don't know). Now, if you are cheating at MMOs by looking up answers and info on websites and stuff like that (I do that myself), thats still ok. What really drives me bonkers, however, is seeing some jerk using "hacks" to cheat at MMORPGs. Granted, many MMOs these days are pretty good at banning them, but I still thought I should throw that issue out there.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

If you are at an impossible part of a game in which you might go bananas for ifyou don't figure out how do do something, then sure, cheating could help you get througha part of a game that you are stuck on so you can continue playing without getting toofrustrated. I have played The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess, and I ended up using so many cheats that I gave up and started using a walkthrough.

I'd say cheating isn't bad if you beat the game first.

Is looking at walkthough cheating? That I do one get stuck badly, but that is more to see how to solve current puzzle or give bit guidance on where to go to. I really rarely ever actually use a cheat to improve stats or get something in the game. Although I do remember using some cheat on the first Saints Row on Xbox 360 to get some daft vehicle quite in beginning of the game and it ended screwing up my game when saving. Doh of course. So I never got achievements for beating the game :(My old-man likes to play occasional racing and GTA type games and when he starts playing first thing he does is gets all possible cheats. So starts GTA with full weapons arsenal or NFS game with whatever is the best car. I always find that really funny but that's how he does it. :laugh2:

I've found that as I've gotten older, I'm less excited by the idea of cheating in games. Back in the day, when I was in elementary school and we rented a game from Blockbuster, the first thing I'd do was to get online to find the Game Genie codes for it. But now I'm more interested in the challenge of the game in the way it was designed. The lone exception is probably The Sims, because sometimes I just get that urge to build a massive mansion, and I can't let a lack of money stand in my way.

I would never cheat. It ruins the experience for me. It makes it less fun than rather more.

My favorite games challenge me in such a way that cheating just makes them boring.

I don't cheat to get unlimited items or stats, I cheat to make the game either harder or different. When I played Emerald, my starter was a lv.5 Shiny Eevee, later to evolve into umbreon. Then I would modify the wild pokemon at spread out points to find certain dark pokemon that you can't regualrly get. Basically I cheated so I could play through the game with my dark team, catching them at their first stage and at the level of all the other wild pokemon in the area.

Its not necessarily bad, i just think that you should beat the game b4 you decide to cheat to kinda prove to yourself that you can beat the game without them. If you dont, i feel that you kinda feel robbed of the experience.

I think it's okay to cheat. It's a good way to get out of troubble and it's fun when you just want to have fun without stressing. it's also a good way to try some cheats when you finished a game... you can enjoy it longer.(sorry if I write weard, I'm not really bilingual and I speak french usualy)

I usually beat the game first without cheating, then I go back through using cheats to just mess around and see what I can do.

When you are playing a single player game, there is nothing wrong with cheating if it helps you advance. If you cheat at a multiplayer game then you ruin the experience of the other players.

For story-heavy games, I have no problem cheating. I only ever feel bad in the games where the gameplay is supposed to be fun throughout because then I feel like I haven't gotten my money's worth.I also cheat in GTA games, but that's just to get the hover jet without the necessary trekking to the right air field which only delays my glorious blast fest.

I've only cheated once. It Pokemon Red/Blue I used the Missing no glitch to level up my pokemon. It kind of took out the fun. I've been accused of cheating on Halo 2, which I wasn't doing and I took it as a complement. They thought I was modding.
