I would have to agree with everyone else, I only cheat after the game is beaten, and I've forced my friends into the same habits

The only time I cheated was with Pokemon and that was to duplicate the master ball... Once I did that the pokemon became to easy to catch so now I never use any cheats it takes the fun out of the game.

for me i just catch em with pokeballs but if i have trouble i use'em like last time i catch deoxys with one try so i was glad i didin't use a masterball and but i restarted because all the pokemon that i have caught were with masterballs it just didn't feel right

does looking at faqs count as cheating?

I don't think so. I think of faqs as "helpful advice" or "tips to make things easier". I used to go to GameFAQs on almost every boss on FFX.

i personally believe that cheating is for those who are lazy and ruins the whole point and challenge of the game. take pokemon 4 example: the whole point of the game, other than beating the elite 4, is to get al the pokemon. no point in using a cheat to give u a full pokedex, rite?but, sumtimes cheating can be ok. take Megaman Battle Network 6, for example. there is a special feature there known as Forte cross. but u can only get it through the Beast Link Gate (or something like that) which is only available in Japan. in that case using a cheat would be ok, because only a total moron would spend thousands of dollars on a flite to Japan and back all for a game....other cheats that are fine for me are things like max money, etc

It all depends on what game it is. If it's a game like Pokemon, then Definitely! Imagine the fun of using a Master Ball on all the Pokemon. It's just so ever amusing. However if it's a game like, for example Teen Titans, then I won't bother, no point using cheats just to cheat on a game that'll eventually end.

As the word is define "cheating" it's still your own opinion that matters. If you like the game be played by your own set of game play then proceed to play the normal way. But if you like to play with a bit of information in hand for a smooth game time then go for it. A game is a game no matte what. If you cheat or not, you play the game for fun or for just to past the time. But don't apply the cheating to real life scenarios, because that's the time "cheating" is bad. :sniper:

Most of the time I hate cheating, but when I'm stuck on some place like for 5 hours and can't find an exit I look in some guide books or walkthroughs

Nah, it's not bad. I was stuck on a mission in Grand Theft Auto for like 4 days... I just turned godmode on then turned it off after I beat the mission.

I tend to avoid cheating but I have been in some cases where it is necessary. The most recent was renting out Tenchu:Return from Darkness for Xbox from Blockbuster, only to have the game mess up everytime i got to the cinematic sequence at the end of the level without saving. So did the cheat to unlock all levels so I wasnt just stuck to the point where it doesnt save.
