ill cheat for part of the first time through so that i know what the hell is going on but then ill play through the game with out using the cheats after i get past the first big boss

Cheating is not necessarily a bad thing (as long as we're talking about single-player cheats, of course). Not everyone likes challenges, so some enjoy the game more when they cheat.As for myself, I used a guide to finish Metroid Prime 2, mainly because I've got an exceptional ability to get lost in those kind of games, which results in a lot of backtracking only to get lost again. It was a bit tedious, so I ended up using a walktrough for the exploration parts. Other than that, I don't remember any other game in which I've cheated...Cheating or not, it's something someone must decide by himself. Do whatever you enjoy more, that's the point of games anyway...

I think it defeats the purpose of even buying the game if you're just going to cheat on it. However sometimes the game is so hard that without cheat codes it's frustrating and no longer fun. In this circumstance I think it would be acceptable to use cheat codes though it would take away immense satisfaction once you do bypass this barrier.

The only cheating that I used to do was savestate, but I don't do that as much now.

Well, cheating is fun in the beginning. I used to always cheat in the Sims 2, I had the richest sims with the biggest, fanciest houses I could make/buy/download, and everything was good... But then I got bored and killed them all with satelites falling from space. I mean, the entire property was full of 'em! Now, I can't play the sims 10 minutes without dying from boredom. So, cheating is fun at first, but then it kills the game. Thats just me, though.

i think cheats are for noobs. I only use them when i cleared the game and then play it again like GTA. But sometimes i use them to when i'm stuck.

Personally cheating is kinda bad but if you already beat a game and then want to play for fun then its funIts is people choice if they really want to cheat because some people might think cheating is fun

its not like cheating makes you a better or worse person. they are just there to help those people that werent supplied with a brain.

I do cheat sometimes, but not that often though. On my first game play, I won't cheat, only cheat on second gameplay and above, I mostly do cheating on gold but nothing else, if I modified character stats, that should be no fun anymore.

maybe after i beat a game once or get stuck on it i'll try to cheat/ look at guides... i dont cheat much tho... kinda makes me not wanna play anymore if things get too easy.

I only cheat when I've beaten the game already, it helps increase replay value.

i only believe in cheating if you have already beaten the game or the game sucks so bad that cheatig is the only way to get some value out of it.Have you ever cheated? I feel bored when cheating but sometimes it's useful. What about you?

I think cheating isn't bad if you only cheat to get stuff like powerups or things to make the game more fun. But if you use a cheat that basically beats the game for you then that is not cool. Unless you are really stuck on something that would take you like a year to beat or if it is really annoying. thats what i think.

I believe that cheating can cause a game to get boring quicker so I tend not to use them until I'm bored with the game already so i have nothing to lose.

It depend on you, sometime cheating in a game help you lower the amount of time you spend on the game but it also lower the fun out of the game. It give great excitement in short amount of time but make you get bore of the game fast.
