I think PSP can have amazing graphics. I mean look at Crisis Core, though DS might have a more interactive gaming system. I can never really choose one over the other.

The PSP is graphically better looking, you can do more on it multimedia wise, and you can hack the crap out of one to play ROMS on it. But its missing a competative library of games, and is way high priced. The Nintendo DS is better by far in my eys, because of the interactivity and the fun that that it breaths into its games with innovation. You may not be able to play MP3s, or watch movies on it, but thats not why people buy a video game system, they buy one to play games.

The PSP does have less good games than the DS. But the PSP has solid PSP exclusive RPGs, such as the Legend of HEroes series. And like some people mentioned, you can hack your PSP to play NES,SNES, GENESIS, GB/C, GBA, N64 and PS1 games on it. That makes the PSP, while more expencive, much more enjoyable. Also, if you get the daxter Pack, you get a game, a Griffin episodes UMD and a 1 Gb memory card included.

PSP has more serious games and NDS from what I've seen has more fun and wider range. Depends mainly on what kind of gamer you are. I prefer PSP though...looks more slick

I'm gonna have to say for gaming NinDS, for multi-purpose and emulation you'll want PSP, but both are pretty good w/ Linux. You never know.

Graphics don't make the game, dude. And gaming capabilities? COME ON! All it is, is a PS2 controller with a screen for games. It doesn't have a touch pad that directly influences game environments or is a major part of the game itself. Sure it has some neat features, but features don't make the gaming device unless they directly influence the games. Sorry, PSP < NDS, and the above poll proves it.

I think feature preference can go both ways. The fact that the DS has an additional control interface doesn't necessarily mean that it's more fun to use.Personally, I don't really enjoy poking/scratching the touchscreen as much as using the conventional pad (touchscreen still feels less accurate to me), but I understand that a lot of other people do, which is fine.My main factors for enjoying a game are both story and gameplay depth. In this regard, I think PSP games tend to be deeper, which makes me enjoy them more. Basically, games like Final Fantasy VII:Crisis Core, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Final Fantasy Tactics:War of the Lions (remake) and the upcoming Dissidia and Kindom Hearts tip the scale.

i love nintendo, and owned nintendo handhelds my whole life. and then was never really a big fan of psp, till my roomate got one, and a hack kit from dark alex, and started playing games for free. then i traded in my ds and gba sp and about 40 games and got 210$ in tradein, which i spent on a 140$ slim, and a 4gb stick for 50$. i love my new psp. and cant beat free games!

Exactly, can't beat free games! That's why i love my DS and my R4. And there are so many games available for the DS now. I've always been more into nintendo games for their general cuteness. I don't do FPS.Also, i have no need for the PSP's extra facilities. I don't want to watch films on it, the screen's too small. I don't need to use internet on it cos i have my laptop for home and my phone for when i'm out.

Well, I personally own a DS because I always had some kind of nintendo product lying around, but I would trade it in for a PSP because it is much more flexible than the DS and you can do so much more with it.
