With some homebrew and Moonshell you can make the same things on a DS that a PSP already can, like listening to MP3, browsing Pictures/Photos, viewing Videos (this one is not a great thing for any of the systems)...Hardware-wise the PSP is far better with a 333 MHz processor as the DS has only a 66 MHz + 33 MHz for sounds. As with the LCD the PSP has much more colors than the DS, allowing greater quality in movies/animations. It's stated elsewhere that the PSP has a blocked brightness level by Sony that allow PSP to have more brightness than DS but I guess that is only a rumour since most players/forums have all the same complain about PSP: you can't play it under sunlight! But it's all resumed to this: what would you buy a console for?? - PLAYING!DS has a better interface to games, same number of buttons plus great interactivity with Touchscreen and it even has Voice Control! Man, too many good things for an avid player!!The Sony guys aren't really making profit of the PSP hardware and are only launching laming games without that addict-effect that Nintendo puts on every game they launch! If you want a good piece of design and hardware go for PSP and manage some U-Movies and the SOCOM game... but if you want more go for Nintendo DS! NDS can do the same tricks PSP does, allows you to have better Internet browser interface (touchscreen works wonderfull) and if you dig well you can have a PDA/Organizer on your gaming system. And girls look at PSP as a macho object, but if you own a NDS they would want to see it/touch it because NDS (Lite version) is so trendy that would work as a babe-magnet!!! :) ;) ;)

PSP is way too lame, my friend, keep your nintendo DS instead. In my opinion, the DS is not boring like you said and has more fun games. People don't use the PSP for gaming, they just view pictures and listen to music. So why sell the DS and replace it with a lame PSP? To tell you the fact, i've got a PSP myself and i was having trouble getting the UMD to work. That dreaded UMD didn't work and the PSP took an awfully long time reading the disc. Or keep your Nintendo DS and PSP and use the PSP as an MP3 player instead. Let me know what you've done.Abdulla.

I think you should sell your DS. The PSP, even though it doesn't have a lot of games now, has awesome quality, you can play games, listen to music, view your pictures and watch movies. Plus there's this thing you can buy for the pSP that allows you to download music and games onto the PSP from the internet.

I've had three different PSP's and I must say, without a doubt, the Nintendo DS is more fun when it comes to gaming.

I think both are worthy handhelds. Both have strengths and weaknesses.

that's like asking if the ps3 it better than the 360. they're both current gen portables, one has stronger tech specs than the other, but the real question is, which one do you like more. that's a personal decision that no one can make for you. do some homework, figure out what you're looking for in a portable: games, specs, accessories, features, etc. then you can choose which one is right for you.what you're asking for is opinions. and opinions are like ***holes; everyone has one and they all stink.

I know a lot of people who don't use their PSP's and complain about the games.I also know a lot of people who love their DS's (and the Wii)Actually, where I work I never see people playing PSP's, but I know several who use DS's

As far as the kind of games that I like (rpg's and strategy games), DS is the way to go. The only thing that's tempting me to a DS is the NISA line of games, like Disgaea for the PSP. Anything by that company is pure gold, and they've been pushing out great PSP titles, I hear.

i think what it comes down to is what games you like better i have both systems and depedning on what i want i go with that one i do like the psp because it does have some very good games and visuals my favorite is grannd theft auto on it but when i just want to get into a game that is fast and fun my ds is the choice bottom line its good to have both but if you have to choose one play it and see what games you like best

psp has awesome graphics but the games are somewhat boring i should say just keep it and borrow a psp from someone you know if you like it buy it if you like it more than the ds sell the ds, but in my own opinion nintendo's games in the nds are much better than the psp's i really like the touch screen, but if its not games what are you interested in and about other stuff i think the psp will be a good choice for you, music, download photos, pictures and also watch movies on it

well... i would say just go with what your friends have. that's how i decided. now i play wireless multiplayer all the time on my ds. but if my friends had psp, i would've probably got that. they're more or less on par with each other for me.

NDS has games I've heard of. Psp has a few of these, but they are all just part of a ps2 franchise. There are no really origanal psp games. ds has tons, like elite beat agents. And ds has better shooter controls
