At the start I liked the DS a lot more than the psp, but after seeing the power of the psp I am starting to wish i bought one of those. And sony said games haven't "tapped into the psp's power yet", but they say stuff like that all the time.

psp has a strong strategy line up thats coming up in a few monthsbut overall, the ds is more fun with its massive selection of games... i just like the pretty widescreen lcd... i'll probably get one eventually - after i get the wii...

I was wondering which of the two I should buy. I really want to get a DS because it's cheaper, but it seems that there are not a lot of great games out there for it.

I prefer the DS since I prefer the lineup of software (note that I did not say games) for it.The only time I'd get a PSP is when God of War: Chains of Olympus is released.

I cant really choose one because I jump back and forth between them... i own both of them and sometimes my PSP will just sit around collecting dust while I play my DS all the time and vise versa.but its mostly about preference, though the PSP games cant hold my attention for crap

I prefer the Sony Psp, their games are phenomenal and it has marked an era in the history of the video games, with games so surprising as amusing. Also if we compare them for generations it would be necessary to compare the Nintendo DS with the Playstation 2 and there is if you leave the great difference among these.

The PSP lost this battle around a year ago, when people finally realized how garbage its games were.

The PSP has a crappy selection and none of the good games for it are actually original ideas. Granted it has some good games, Metal Gear, GTA, and Daxter, but none of them are very good for very long, and none of them have any replayability, however most of the good games for the DS are brilliant, smart, have great replayability, and have stellar online. The PSP is lacking in every one of those categories.

Thats the only thing that needs to be read. All 3 of those games are watered down remakes that are fun for, maybe a few days, and then you realize they are just crappy remakes.

I personally like the DS cause Dragon Quest is exclusive to DSbut the functions that the psp offer is very convincing(ex built-in web browser/movie player/Mp3 Player/GPs/Camera.......so on)is a very tough choice ,so that is why i bought both

I am a sony fan but i mean come on, DS was way better. Ok so you could pay 30 dollars for a DvD for the PsP and watch it on the smallest screen in existance or you could get a portable dvd player. PsP could play music, or you could buy a cd player. The point of a game system is to play games first and foremost and they put way to much focus on the other aspects which is why DS has more and better games.

psp, nintendo caters to children

The internet caters to people who are so stupid that they believe whatever opinion someone pulls out of their butt. Ever play Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow? More guts, gore, and disturbing monsters than a lifetime of psychological damage can contain. That being said, I prefer the DS because Flashcarts are relatively easy and cheap to obtain (allowing it the same functionality as the PSP at only a slightly higher price), but mostly because it's got my favorite games on it. Besides, the games are slightly cheaper (meaning I'm actually not losing any money compared to buying a PSP)Plus, the PSP's battery life is terrible, making it near-useless at any time that I'd actually want to use it (long car trips, etc).Basically, the DS gives me the same multimedia functionality as the PSP, gives me better battery life, the best handheld game I've ever played (Jump! Ultimate Stars), and I get games at a lower price (ones I actually like). However, I probably WOULD save money buying a PSP; there aren't any games I'd actually BUY for it.

The PSP has great multimedia functions but since I have an iPod, I don't really need them. The DS also has more good games (and more really bad games) that appeal to me
