I like tekken better. Its almost impossible to learn all the moves. There is always a variety of all sorts of revesals and counters and stuff. The gameplay in Mortal Kombat is a bit slow. I have to keep pounding the buttons to finally make my fighter do something, but in tekken, you always have the chance to make your move. Its my all time favorite!

i prefer soul caliber, compared to that tekken is slow and you character is customisable via the weapon, or in soul calibur III you can make your own character

Out of them two it would probably be Tekken. You can't really say that Tekken doesn't involve button mashing because every single two player fighting game just involves button mashing including Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Virtua Fighter.

I say Mortal Combat, I don't know Tekken that well, I only played it once, and it seemed boring... The backrounds were lame too. Thats just my opinion, and I fully respect all of yours.

I like Mortal Kombat because i like the story and i like the characters better. I've played it a lot longer than Tekken, plus i liked Deception, except the ending.

I'd go with Tekken because of the cool moves, great fighting system, and good storyline.

Tekken by far is better in my opinion. The moves are cooler and the characters look cooler and better than Mortal Combat.

I have played every game from both series. Tekken has only got better and better, and it's my favourite. I was a big fan of the 2-D mortal kombat, but the 3-D versions aren't really good... Tekken is far better in that aspect. But Mortal Kombat Trilogy, for the ps1, is an old classic! I loved to play it.

I only played a bit of both at a friend's house, but I say Tekken is better.

I always have liked tekken and disliked mortal combat because it never have made me like it

Depends. In terms of graphics I would choose Tekken. In terms of bloodiness I would choose Mortal KOmbat... hmm..... let me think.... I would most probably choose tekken. The storyline is better... lol

i agree with the guy above soul calibur is much better than mortal kombat and tekken the characters the moves the swords the game is much better than tekken and mortak kombat but if i had to choose bw them i wld choosesorry i was sayin if i had to choose bw them i would go with tekken the moves are amazing there and the characters too
