I'd have to say Mortal Kombat because there are ton's awsome moves and killer Fatalities.

Tekken. The only fighting game I have ever played in which I do not button mash ^^ (well that and soul calibur)the game has freakin amazing graphics (tekken 5 and DR) customizable characters (although SC3 had complete character creation, but that wasn't listed) and the move sets are amazing as well. thousands of possible combos, awesome throws, and cool reversals. also, although tekken did have a few unrealistic cheap shots, MK had way too much more unrealistic moves in it. tekken was more of a martial arts game, which I liked better.

Tekken for it's storyline, Mortal Kombat's all about fighting, but Tekken's got SOMETHING to watch other than Spewing BLOOD from each other

tekken owns MKi has a deeper gameplay and a lot of moves per characterMK has fatalities and all that stuff though... but... tekken still owns it

I've played both but I say Tekken owns. I like having tournaments with my friends at home. Mortal Kombat just isn't all that good to me.

I'd go with Tekken. The fighting system, while still somewhat slow, is more fleshed out than mortal kombat. Tekken also continues to improve, while the last MK took more of a step backwards. With the limitations of the fighting styles (everyone reduce to 2) and they took the breakers out I believe. But Tekken suffers since they added walls in four, they allow for too much damage. I also like the fact that most of the moves in Tekken are kind of universal, what with the low parrying and wake up attacks. Overall I think it's a better game.

Both quite fun lol...virtua fighter fun too...in terms of moves tekken is more difficult to use.

Hand down tekken.....but MK did have FATALITIES....but u kno way better moves in tekken...all tekken series were good too

Tekken definitely because there is a move list where u can learn the moves and not just by blindedly whacking buttons (just like in killer instinct on snes) to find out what moves are where and all that

i like tekken5 more than mortal kombat because tekken has better charakters than mortal kombat. in tekken5 are lots of combos but when i will see blood then i play mortal kombat:)

I'm for Tekken because I think in Mortal Kombat there is... too much blood and violence.
