Personally i think that Resident Evil 4 was alot more suspenseful than scary... but the scariest parts in the game were; the Iron Maiden and the Chainsaw Man. that Iron Maiden was scariest wen u first see it on the screen of the video camera.

Like you say, it's not really much of a "scary" game. Though I gotta admit I freaked out when I first entered the village and get surrounded, heh.

I would say it kept me on the edge of seat with creepy characters(especially the chainsaw dude) and heart stopping moments.

i loved this game, i remember at times slowly turning corners and can recall once or twice being spooked a little bit...

No I didnt find this game scary but when I was a little kid I was freaked out by games like this .If I had to say the scaryest Resident evil its prolly Resident evil 1 .To Mr.Man 2.0 dont tell others to stay on topic when your not on topic either.

RE4 is no where near as frightening as the other games. With the 'zombies' talking to each other throughout the entire game, it's sort of hard to be surprised by any of them as you're coming around a corner or down a flight of stairs...still an excellent game though

Although it was undoubtedly a great game, it was not scary. (which in itself was rather disappointing for it being a Resident Evil game)

So true it was more action than horror .Still if you were in the dark late at night all alone I think you would still be scared.It was more action than it was scary, but all and all it was a nice game.

it is not that scary, but you need to be ready at all times because you could die in the cut scenes too.make sure your gun is loaded, ashley is at full health and in safety and you MUST pay attention to any strange sound that makes you feel uneasy and investigate the cause. this is very good advice i am giving to you new players. trust in your handsPersonally i think that Resident Evil 4 was alot more suspenseful than scary... but the scariest parts in the game were; the Iron Maiden and the Chainsaw Man. that Iron Maiden was scariest wen u first see it on the screen of the video camera.

im with you man...the game is a lot to action than horror i myself didnt get scared once not once!!!only when arrived to what saddler calls "it" i really didnt have any ammo so i freaked out

all resident evil games scare the crap out of me so did dino crisis. things jump out at you unexpectedly ..... I HATE THAT

I have to agre its not bad but scary no as it has been menchind before yes it has suspense and good graphics for that point but i really dont think its scary.

scary? no. suspenseful, yea, they've always done a decent job of that
