Well, it's scary at the beginning. Especially the first part where you first enter the village and are completely surrounded by those crazy villagers and you have nothing but a handgun with little bullets and have not yet read the guide yet that you're supposed to grab the shotgun and blast'em all to bits. @_@ But most unfortunately, the scare factor disappears after awhile =/

The part where your playing alone with the girl in the castle place and you have no weapons was the scariest to me. And those knights on the wall that fell almost made me fall off my seat literally.

Only part that freaked me out was when them things came after you and you had to use ther thermal sniperrifel to take it down... it was slow but creepy.

The first time I was even scared on RE4 was when you get into the pit and fight the chainsaw ladies. I was like

Like most have said it isn't a really scary game as it is creepy, but it does have some scary moments.

hi hi hi hi hiPersonally i think that Resident Evil 4 was alot more suspenseful than scary... but the scariest parts in the game were; the Iron Maiden and the Chainsaw Man. that Iron Maiden was scariest wen u first see it on the screen of the video camera.

I think its not scary. In fact, some portions can be quite, hilarious, when you play with in big group.

First time i played RE4, i died when i entered first village...i'm shocked cause Leon getting surrounded by villagers...I tried to shot em down, but still...GAMEOVER...For me, yes it's scary....wow

this game is more like, it'll make you jump. The creepy music and how into the game you get determines if you are going to get freaked out or not.
