oh man the big arcaic grey one with the green screen that you couldn't see in the shadows, or the light for that matter, i smashed it against my forhead getting mad playing mario 2 lol./ i cracked the screen and that's how i convinced my parents to get me a gbpocket! lol

Many eons ago, i had an original brick (giant red) gameboy wuth such games as kirby donkey kong and what would today be desribed as stick men mortal kombat.

First gameboy was original gangsta GB, brick-style. Recently found my old GB and found it totally busted, but my roommate found his and it still plays original Zelda from 15+ years ago. Amazing machines.

My first was the original gameboy that I got for christmas in 1990. Only had a few games for it, Mario of course and also Duck Tales, where I couldn't get past one of the lvls so never finished the game. It seemed to drain the batteries at an alarming rate though, thank god for the invention of chargers.

the original gameboy...i think there was a mcdonalds promotion that they should it with tetris and i think my dad bought it for me and my brother...anyone else remember that? or was it a weird dream? i mean i have the gameboy with the tetris...and i remember the mcdonalds with the fliers and everything...sigh...am i crazy?

Mine was also the big bulky white one. Loved it at the time but it sucked up the batteries like they were candy to the machine lol.

My first was one of the original, grey, green screen bricks. I earned it by managing to quit bitting my nails (or rather, quitting long enough for my parents to buy me the gameboy). I spent many hours playing tetris, mario brothers, and metroid on it. As far as I know the sucker still works too, though now it has some dust that has gotten into the screen casing.(I did eventually quit bitting my nails. It took almost another 6 years to finish breaking the habit.)
