okay here it is at some point a person usually thinks about the same question, Of course i built my compputer but... if you have your sources there are sites that sell it cheaper so in the end you pay less for your computer. Personally the reason why i built mine rather than bought it is because it was fun to build my computer. but yeah the sites if you pay just like 200 dollars more in the option than you can easily change your graphics card to 8800 and they give you sLi for it also so yeah.

I'd say you build it yourself, it saves you money and it's not that hard...

The best option would be to build your own PC, but only if you know how. It is very simple to do so but most people just dont have the time or need to do so.If you build your own pc from somewhere like newegg then It will literaly cost you about 3/4 of the price.

If you build your PC yourself, it is usually better in the sense that it has everything you want, but you have to build it. Building isn't too hard, but it's time consuming. If you're lazy, then just buy a pre-made PC. I don't if you can build a laptop though...

If you're going to be doing anything other than Web browsing, and Office work, then there really is no point in building one, because you can get a cheap prepackaged computer that will do the job just as well.If you want any sort of performance out of the computer, though, I'd built it, because you get so much more choice of components, and it's cheaper.

Definitely build your own, it leads for so many options. Way more advantages than disadvantages.

I'd definitely recommend building your rig. It's more cost-effective and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you power it up. But if you don't have the time to buy the parts and assemble it yourself, then buying a computer can work well too.

If you don't know what your doing, go pre-made. But if you do, then it is usually cheaper to make your own.

If you want to get anything productive done without having to upgrade every couple years you need to build, no question at all

Id also have to say build it yourself as you can get what YOU need for your computing and make it fit your usage, plus pre-made sometimes rip you off in stuff like motherboard...

I would recommend you build your own PC. You get to choose the right VideoCards and Processors for your fitting. Pre-made PCs don't always have what you want in 1 package. Too bad I can't do that right now, since I don't have the money for it.

well it depends on what you want the computer to do reallyi mean if your not a hardcore computer user of any kind, and just wanna do word processing and e-mail checking...then go with a name-brandif you really want it to do something significant...like have a terabyte of storage for files, act as a media center, and be able to play Bioshock with SLI'd GeForce 8800's with the kilowatt power supply, then build it yourself

As long as you know how to and know what you want and see if it is compatible then build one yourself is by far the best option ... or at least find someone who knows that stuff and help you.
