Hm... I have Configured, and i want to download FF9, where are those sites that were in this topic somewhere?

DGEmu does not host PSX ISOs, try getting them here http://snesorama.us/...read.php?t=5284 or in www.emuparadise.org

You need a winzip to extract them. I think this is what jiio meant by. It was in the PEC pinned thread:X. Final StatementIn summary, PEC is a GameShark for use with PlayStation emulators. While PEC can greatly aid you in acquiring that hard-to-get treasure or beating that god-like boss, it can also severely damage your emulator, corrupt or delete your saves, and harm your computer itself (for further information, see the official disclaimer on the PEC homepage). We here at DGEmu advise our members to use extreme caution when running this program. The preceding guide attempts to walk users of PEC through the use of such in a responsible and safe manner, however, we understand that it will not answer every question that arises, nor solve each problem our members may incur. We ask that you submit - respectfully - any comments or questions you may have about the guide to its dedicated author, xenos219, via an in-forum Private Message. All useful and pertinent information will be appended to the guide, and their authors given credit for their contributions.

yeah. that's exactly where i read that PEC can damage your emulator and computer.also, it says that in epxse forum that some games work better on 1.6 (like chrono cross) and others better on 1.52. which is should i get.

Go to config>video>configureCheck:Use FPS limit Use frame skippingFPS limit(change it to 100 or 50 for normal speed)Uncheck:Auto-detect FPS/Frame skipping limitThen click 'ok'. It's now on normal speed(if it's not, close the emulator and oped it again).

If you read his post, it says these are all possible outcomes of using PEC as stated on the authors' disclaimer. All emulators/plugins/accessories/font ends come with the disclaimer that they may severely damage your computer, etc. In fact, I got the BSOD (missing or corrupted hal.dll) several times from using high graphic settings on my old integrated Intel "video card." These thing are merely statement meant to shield the authors from legal responsibility. That is all. Now you can ruthlessly use PEC, because the chances of it crashing on a relatively "new" (2~3 year old) computer are very slight (almost non-existent) even if you set the codes to refresh every frame.

so using several different codes for different games aren't going to matter? What if you have a computer that's four or five years old? srry, if it sounds stupid. i am no good with computers.

Codes only modify the memory addresses of the game that is being emulated. Unless you abuse the user database (or press ctrl-c while the game is running), it is impossible for PEC to use codes for different games at the same time. This is what happens when you do mess up in the user database:1. You will get graphical and/or sound glitches.2. The game will crash, but the emulator will still emulate the inevitable frozen screen.3. Your save file will not be affected.4. Your ISO image or physical media (CD) will not be affected.5. Your computer will not be affected, unless you used settings for the video/sound plugin that are too high for your computer to handle, but then that's you, not PEC, not the plugin, you.6. PEC will work even after you crash the game.If you activate too many codes at the same time, you can sometimes crash the emulator. You can avoid that by lowering the refresh rate of codes (configure the PEC plugin). If your computer is old (4~6 years), then you should lower the refresh rate of the codes to between 10 and 20. If your computer is REALLY old (7+), then you shouldn't be trying to emulate PSX (though you can still emulate GBA and SNES with good speeds).

Here's how:In ePSXe, click "Config > video > refresh rate" There should a slide bar (is that what you call it?) and you can change the refresh rate by moving it left or right.

As someone already stated elsewhere, it is illegal to distribute (publicly or privately) copyright material like the BIOS of the PSX. It's in the DMCA. If you want to provide a link to a page that has a link to download, that would be fine, but do not direct link or Sony will get you.

There are a lot of places offering bios and they're not likely to be caught...The more bios lurking on the internet , the more gamers play Sony's games ( even a lot of them buy the games for their emulator ) , don't you think about it ?Don't be so serious basf...

heh...look carefully and you'll start to notice that some (if not a lot) of the servers for those sites are in countries that don't enforce copyright protection. Of course, you're right. Less than one in ten thousand copyright violators get caught (mostly for illegal music). I whole-heartedly agree that allowing BIOS and ISO downloads would increase the number of people playing the games (yay, Anglo-American economics!), but (unfortunately) that's not the way Sony sees it. Until they realize that these things can actually increase their marginal revenue, I doubt they would stop prosecuting.

XD - it's xenos219

I take this stance, there has been a bios image for the ps1 ever since I joined the forum (and since joining was mainly for the ps1 area its been a while). while it is true sony could easily take legal action against me as an individual I highly doubt anything will ever happen, 1. I own a real PS1 so I myself am not breaking any laws by having the copy of it, it's the people who don't have it and download a copy that break said laws. 2. these are PS1 bios, not PS2 or PS3, they are over a decade old, why in Sony's right mind would they even bother prosecute me? 3. as such it's not either myself of DGEmu that is actually hosting the file the main target they could possible target, and in the most instance simple send a takedown letter to them, is the site the file is uploaded to. So to sum up, in the infinite possibility they may find it the odds of pushing anything is almost zero as the given facts above.

Ha..I didn't even read your name in the index...anyway , that's definitely true , too obvious and therefore we don't need to worry or care about ps1 unauthorization now . In the next 10 years , maybe we can say that to PS2...

i agree with you. Unless, it was one of their top-selling albums or movies being illegally distributed, I dont't think Sony would go nuts. Plus, PSX are no longer profitable to sony.

ummm...after you selected all the cheats you wanted and then started the game, do you have to have those codes always selected or can you deselect them and still work?
