If possible, pour some distilled water over it.Then, just wait until it completely dries. Give it a day or two.Don't touch the power until then.

I will buy a new one if it broke. But I dropped my ds outside for a whole rainy night (not knowing of course) and nothing happened to it ( surprisingly) so no worries here.

Wrap it in a towel for a couple hours. My phone charger got soaked once and after doing that it was fine so same concept I would think.

I dropped my PSP into the snow of Michigan, and once onto a lake (PSP hockey, anyone?). It still works fine after getting one corner kinda chipped off. Also the GBA is the most indestructible system ever, next to the wiimote and gamecube. I chucked it from my roof to rid of it in a hilarious way. It survived with a minor grass stain. My Digital camera I dropped into the Huron River off my kayak, I never recovered though. It just doesn’t work – any ideas? PM me if you have some.

Well, what can you do except leave it in a dry place and hope the water didnt mess up your handhelds insides. One time I found a special edition pokemon gameboy color in a puddle when it was raining and I set it under a hot lamp for awhile, and to my shocking surprise it worked! But if it breaks I guess you SOL huh, you can alwys make more money right?

I'd get professional advice on whether its fixable, if so get them to fix it, if not recycle it and buy the newer version.

I have two of my current handheld console, it would be the game falling in water that would distress me...So, use my other one, and hope the first one gets alright again
