As long as you are sweating, you are technically burning calories... which means you are exercising... (like it or not :)). Now, wether you'll burn fat this way... that is another question that, to be answered, would need more specifics (time, how hard you go with it.. etc etc etc).Hope that helps >.<(I'm trainging pretty hard... especially with tennis, as I jump all over the place like if the ball was actually moving like 5m each way and jumping for smashing and all!!! It is an awfull sight I agree).

Playing on the Wii is exercise - but then so is walking to your fridge. Come on, on less it's WiiFit and you're sweating, forget about it.

Its better than sitting on a couch, but don't pass flailing your arms off as an exercise. Its exercising in the same way as walking through your daily routine counts as exercise

its a bout as much exercise as deep breathing... doesn't even really register on the exercise meter... more of a low energy consuming activity... better than just laying ther though...

It actually depends on how you play it. Some people wil make small gestures obviously not really working up a sweat. But for the people who I guess does what people do on the commercials and actually do the motion. Then yeah I can consider it an exercise. I mean it's not uncommon these days for games to actually be a form on exercise, take DDR for example.

I voted yes, pureply because Wii sports definitely gets the heart racing!I'd call wii sports excercise, definitely. FUN exercise though.Something like Zelda has minimal activity so really it depends what game your playing.

If you really get into it yes, otherwise if it's for a minute or two it's not much of an excercise.

it's exercise when you don't get out much, speaking for myself at least, it does make me work up a sweat and help me burn most of the snacks I ate during that day at least :)if by exercise you mean playing something vigorous like wiisports or rayman or some other insane and fun game with the wii-mote and nunchuck then yes, eventually, anyone would work up a sweat from playing.if you stick to vc games or play some of the wii games that have the option to use the classic controller or gc controller then you'll only be doing the usual thumb routine and nothing else.
