I voted for both..When I play wii sports I take full swings, get a work out... When I play medal of honor, I sit on my butt and dont get a work out..Others will just flick their wrists when they play.. not much fun there if you ask me..So for me wii sports is exercise..MOH not so much..-Tater

Yes, i've heard of a person who use the wii in his excerises. But i think the should add a game that is as intense as wii boxing but alot more fun like DDR.

depends on the amount of time you play on it so if you played on it for 10 minutes, it's not excercise

The Wii is not excercise for me. It takes little to no effort for me to play the Wii, except for the boxing on Wii Sports, but I only play boxing for about 5 min, so that is no exercise for me.

I can't remember if I posted in here or not, but anyway...No, it is not always exercise. A large quantity of Wii games only require small wrist movements or holding the remote sideways, very few actually get you to stand up and jump around or flail your arm. There are SOME that do that frequently, and of course Wii Fit is coming up, but you can't make the generalization that Wii=exercise.

Well if you get into the game it would be exerciseI played Wario Ware Smooth Moves. and dang that's pretty good exercise o-OAlso Sonic and the Secret Rings is quite a good exercise game as you can just move together with sonic *like running and jumping wich I sometimes did ^_^*I do have a bit of overweight so I do move alot when playing the Wii to get those pounds off ^_^

Sure why not. Any physical activity can be considered exercise.

I would think that it counts. My arms are always sore after boxing especially! But unless it gets you sweating, I don't think it should be counted as 'real' exercise.

I don't think it's exercise because even though you move a bit I don't think it is enough to be counted as exercise. To me exercise is playing sports, going for a jog, a swim or a bike ride or something like that. It wouldn't be healthy to rely soley on Wii for fitness and if someone can prove to me otherwise I would seriously be amazed.

Since you only really have to move your wrist slightly and there is little resistance...it is not exercise

Yea, I think the wii provides a little more effort to play, but still, it's what you make of it. I find that I can just sit down and play if I wanted to for wii boxing

I play all games sitting down, even bowling! So No. My friend is over 300lbs and he thinks he can lose weight by playing wii sports every night.
