I love Wii!!! Of course u will make execises while playing wii. Everytime u do a movement u are wasting calories, on wii u are wasting more calories than in the other consoles. And sometimes u need a lot of movement while playing the Wii games like Zelda, while fishing :) !!!

its exercise, not the best, but it makes you sweat. they should make a wii treadmill or have the wiimote be able to have weights attached to it :)

its exercise, not the best, but it makes you sweat. they should make a wii treadmill or have the wiimote be able to have weights attached to it :(

sice for the rest of the bodyi wouldn't exactly call playing the wii proper exercise because alot of the games are just a flick of the wrist or a tugg of a remote. boxing on wii sports however is pretty arm tiring, kinda like cardio workout but not proper exercise for the rest of the body.

I think so. I think my arm was about to fall off the first time I tried it! But I mean if you play it like my friend just standing there and flicking your wrist I don't think you'll get alot of exercise.

they developed Wii to work with the minimun moviment necessary, so if you see some people jump like crazy its just because they like to jump XD´´

I agree. It's little excersie, but its better to sweat while playing a game then to sit on your rear and gain weight.

It really does depend on the game you're playing, but I believe it is at least for me. :) I'm the type who jumps around alot while playing games like I am the charecter. Its just automatic, I cant help it. For some reason that keeps me in shape, and something like wii sports does twice the power for that. For me, I'm getting all of the exercise I need by just playing Red Steel. (awesome game)

Wii is so unbelievably far from exercise that its funny to even think that there is a poll for this. A treadmill is exercise, a REAL sport is exercise, the slight movements of your arms is NOT exercise

Well maybe... in my opinion i think that the wii is exercise only on certain games like wii sports but games like metroid prime 3 not so much

I work out in a gym frequently, and i can say that this really does not compare, at least for most games. Wii Sports obviously is way more vigorous, but i still dont call this excercise.
