no it's just stupid people who say that and it doesn't really matter what race you are i mean i'm black and i play video games most black people at the age of 4-25 play video games maybe it's your appearance no one is a nerd unless you play video games too much and you don't do anything but play video games cause if that's true then you are a nerd

I believe that this term is hardly used in this day and age. But back then in the era of arcades and family computers (Oh right, americans call them nintendo), gamers are called that because it's like reading a book. Few people understand why we spend hours in front of a tv controlling a pixelated hero to achieving it's goal only to do again where as other people talk about cars, sports, foreign countries, prom dates and so on and so on.

They probably think we have no life since we play games all day while being shut inside the house for a long period of time. I don't really mind those people unless they actually make fun of me because of it.

I've gotten with girls because of video games. I think people think gamers are losers when all the talk about and want to talk about is games. Anyone who only talks about one thing generally isn't going to be too popular (unless it's like reality t.v. shows, apparently). Anyone who identifies themself as something (punk, gamer, goth, whatever) isn't going to attract too many people outside their clique.bc they would rather play video games then chill wit a gurl

I know girls that play games, and lots of them too. people stereotype gamers as nerds because they watched too many movies lol. Honestly im sure almost everyone in our society have or had played games b4 in their life. Anyways, ill still play games no matter wat xP

Do people actually say the word 'nerd' in real life..? I have never in my life said or heard that word outside of movies, television, what have you. I have often inferred that people I dislike have had sexual relations with various barnyard animals, but I have never once called anyone a nerd.

Cause you areThe reason people bully about people playing games is because they are jealous... JEALOUS BIG TIME!!!!!!!!At school i get called a computer geek... like by everyone...They are all jealous because i did a whole massive script (which took me aobut 2 and a half years to complete) for my friends chat web siteIm 12 and i mean come on... I knew all advanced computing skills when i was 6....I have ADHD as i have said previously... ADHD can make your hyperactive or obsessive... But being obsessive with something during ADHD is amazing...Before you even start it you know LOADS about it... When i was frist diagnosed with it... I became OBSESSED with computers BIG TIME!!!And that was when i was 3 and 3/4.I had my own computer and my mum and dad were totaly amazed and what i could do on it!!!They recorded me on a computer and i was downloading games off the internet and was going through setting settings for internet and everything (not litterally)But wow... I take the comments from people!!! I thank them because i know they are just jealous... Just thank them and know they are jealous...When someone dislikes you and dont have a good reason... Look to yourself and see if there are any skills you are GOOD at and which they are BAD at...That is your answer... They are jealous because of that...!!!!!!

I am a nerd, I have so many friends(four close friends and about a six others that I could go out with) and go out three to four times a week(even though I am a university student), I have my own car so when we go out it's usually me who decide where to go, but still I am a nerd, because when FF XII came down I played it for 140 hours in two months.

I've been called nerd, but not because I play games. I'm pretty sure it would be because they fear your skillz in t3h game, and so they must challenge you in real life. Which PHAILS.

Because we would rather play games than go wasting lots of money going to Starbucks, or the movies, or out to eat. Gaming is a lot cheaper, and you don't have to fight the crowdsI am a gamer. I am proud of it. And because of that, I´m a reject in school.What do people have against us gamers?
