Hmm, now I realize there are many more reasons I´m called a nerd. I like Pokémon, I have long hair although I´m a guy and people like to call me a nerd because I get mad, when I´m mad I punch them, When I punch them my hand hurts but they don´t feel a thing (they think its hilarious)

i use to get called a nerd all the time in school for being a gamer among other things that all stoped when i joined the football team and started taking ppl out of the game lol once they see you can knock someone out just by tackling them you kind of get a non nerd rep lol

The only people who ever have called me a nerd is some family members and a few friends...most of which were not serious...almost no one has ever classified me as a nerd... I really think being a nerd has more to do with what you look/act like then the fact that you play games....

Because most gamers are usually very fat, smelly guys who live in thier parents basement when thier 45 and havn't learned of "deoderant". Now not all of us are like that, but the few that are out there give the rest of us a bad name.

True, True...(Anime and I go to the same middle school and are in the same top class...)I like to use big words... and words like "thus" whistl I am speaking... I am usually ridiculed by my classmates especially the girls... And the sad thing is that we are in the Advanced class in my school...Anybody is called a nerd when you say something they don't understand. Well, at least that is how it works in my lame school.It is easy to be called a nerd in my school, simply because they are all very stupid. That is not an understatement though, it is very true.

I think it is because of social value. In school, 'cool' people are suppose to be great at sports and stuff, and they are never good with studies. We are the opposite of them, and therefore all the 'cool' people dislikes us and think that games and studies are nerdy things.

i guess if u play so u get to the secret door or obtain best weapon of the game or do anything intense like this..than whoever that maybe is a nerd i think...i play just for fun... as long as i beat the gamei don;t care...this is just my opinion...

people think that gamers are nerds because they figure most gamers are stuck in "unreality" such as the D&D **** and really stupid people who take some things too literally, for example those retards that went and killed a bunch of people because they "were influenced" by GTA... that was stupid...but now i think its that people want us to feel like **** so we dont try and do weird **** like that...also the things like the pokemon craze...people think that all gamers are kids now...so if your over 8 and still a gamer you are instantly a nerd...while stupid its the truth...Besides, do you really wanna be a bunch of stuck up pricks like "cool" crowd...?or do you wanna be a retarded muscle bound fagget...?i am a game freak and i still make plenty of friends...just not with those kinds of idiots...
