Should Nintendo and Sega realease some newly designed super nintendos nintendo 64's and sega do the dreamcast again etc etc and re release genesis as a low cost console for people?

Not the consoles but the games! but i do think the Dreamcast deserves another shot

i think that is a lot of good old stuff that could be re realeased with new features and better graphics, sounds and story. like they did with sonic adventure

I know sega has probably come out with a million "classics" compilations of old game throughout the years, but it would be cool to have an adapter to play the old cartridges on new systems. I guess until then we'll just have to stick to emulation or hope our old systems don't die on us.

sega should come bk with a new kick donkey console

It wouldn't compete, and I'm not sure they have the resources anyway. =Palso... about the topic... what exactly do you think these two companies have been doing the last 5 years?!? longer, for that matter? They have been doing a LOT of re-releases! Now, granted, very few N64 re-releases and no Dreamcast releases that I can recall, but then again I can't think of more than MAYBE one Dreamcast title that deserves a remake, and I think the only ones for N64 that should be remade have already been remade.

I would love to see more Shenmue, Power Stone and Rival Schools games. That's why I'm so annoyed my Dreamcast broke down so many moons ago.

It would be so much easier to port the games to the new platforms, in my opinion - just like Virtual Console on the wii.

no, but allowing the best games to be played via online buying is a great idea.

Eh, i like the feel of the old console controllers and all, but they'd be stupid not to just continue making game remakes.

I think that the companies wouldn't really make a profit off of re-releasing the systems themselves, when they could be investing in new more up to date hardware. As for taking older IPs and the like, and porting them to handhelds/remaking them alltogether, I think that if it's done right it would be pretty awesome. I mean, some classic games that we loved back in the day really just don't stand the test of time. A lot of people have grown accustomed to better controlabitlity and all that, so if they were to make sure everything worked out, then it'd be a great idea.
