source graphs better... 1.6 graphs still oldskool... dead bodies in source is like real... but the maps, i still love 1.6 series... nicer.. source map is so complicated... and there is only a few maps....

Counter-Strike: Source is basically (a remake of) Counter-Strike on the new Source engine. Still I prefer 1.6 more than CS:S.What is source?i don't know about that ,i just play 1.6

that is one of the reasons, thats definitly one of the reasons i play 1.6also that 1.6 is a little harder, theres more recoil on the guns, i played source and theres a big enough difference in the recoil that you would noticeand the pistols are stronger in Source, only a couple though, one of them i know is the dual elites, there stronger in source, plus you can throw nades pretty easily in source, as in 1.6 you have to do all these fancy screen moving just to get the nade to go where you want it toits only for my own personal opinion but i like CS:Source better although requires a better system requirements than of 1.6 thats why people go for CS 1.6 instead for a lower requirements...

I always preferred 1.6 over Source. The only thing I liked about Source was the extended maps (certain ones, such as Assault). I preferred the feel of 1.6 more than Source, though they are about the same. I just feel more comfortable with 1.6 than Source.

Source is a much more realistic version of CS, although my favourite would have to be OLD OLD OLD, Iceage, Caveman, ---> SkoolMy favourite of all time? CS. 1.0

1.6 generates a more LAN gaming feel with the different models.With source it looks like your typical single player FPS. I mean, come on, all the terrorists and CTs are exactly the same it takes the thrill of friendly fire and getting shot in the face and going "WTF?! I thought that guy was on my team!"

source deagle is way too easy to hs with compared to the 1.6 deagle. it's ridiculous. also tower stacking, bunny hopping, and better knives in 1.6
