I have played the beginning of a metroid game in-store before, and it didn't seem so bad. But I have also played Metroid Prime. It was a great game, lots of puzzles, and lots of action.

I'm assuming that this is for favorites?1: Super Metroid2: Metroid Fustion3: Metroid 14: Metroid 2And I like the Prime series the least.

1. Metroid: Other M2. Metroid Fusion3. Metroid Prime 2 EchoesMetroid Other M might not have followed the formula, and it was short as heck. Plus, no New Game+ was a big downer. But it's more accessible than all past Metroid games. The final boss was also, challenging, for a good reason. Which I see as a pro.

1. Metroid prime series2. Super Metroid3. Metroid Fusion4. SSBB (samus is a pretty fun character to play. 2 control schemes, BIG friggen smash attack
)5. Metroid Zero Mission6. Metroid 27: Metroid other M (interesting view style, ruined samus's image. just look at the zelda cartoon, too much character is not good)8. Metroid (played others before this one, so it came across as weak when i finally played it)while i'll agree metroid 2 had its downfalls, i wouldn't rate it as terrible because i did still enjoy it to a degree. the metroid prime series though steals the show for me, since i can replay it as much as i want and still enjoy the environments, the battles, everything ^^

1 - super metroid 3
2 - metroid fusion
3 - metroid zero mission
the 3d series not the best option for metroid so i dont bother about them
