I sometimes buy PSX and GBC games at some stores. I also bought N64 games a few times for my pal.

I tend to avoid buying used games for my newer consoles, though I would for the DS because damage seems less likely to occur. I worry about the condition, though the games I have purchased used have been near perfect. My main concern is the price. Often times Gamestop only cuts a few bucks off of the new price so I just skip it and grab a sealed copy. Unless I'm saving big money, I'd rather splurge a few bones to get a brand new product.I've never purchased a game at a pawn shop, but the Pawn America near me has some really cheap Dreamcast games that I've deeply considered picking up. The downside of that is, as someone mentioned, a pawn shop probably wouldn't offer a guarantee that it'd work.It is hard to argue over saving money, though.
