I prefer subtitles because I've been burned too many times by bad English voice acting. It's thrown me completely out of the game.

I like subs better cos nothing can really replace the original language & expressions.

I'd also prefer subs, because im also studying the language, so dubbed ones doesn't cut it for me ^^

I accidentally voted for the wrong one D: I would like subtitled... o well :foldarms: subtitled still winningIt is more fluent with the correct language because thats what it was made for. The game in english (or whatever language you have) would be choppy in some areas.

I for one like them japanese with little sub titles since they always seem to let me down when they translated it to my language, its the same with anime.

I wonder why producers that translate japanese games insist in removing the japanese voices and replacing them by nothing or by poor english dubs. I think most people who enjoy these japanese games would prefer the original voices with subtittles (and you can see by the poll result that this is true), so why don't they do it? It would certainly cost less to these companies if they didn't have to hire dubbers to do the job. Oh well... maybe one day our plead might reach those people...

Personally I prefer subbed, as English dubs tend to be brutal. Also, as the TC said, it feels more authentic.

I prefer having the option to choose English voice-over or Japanese as well the option to have sub-titles. But should it be forced to have one decision, I would go with whatever the original language of the game was.

I prefer a subtitled version of a Japanese game. Mainly becuase we get a taste of the original planning, jokes, and mood. Usually, the dubbed version changes a lot of interesting and amusing parts with more friendly words when it's actually supposed to be a more hardcore scene.

the best games are the ones not translated. lol. i think that it is funner and has more complexities than the games released in the US because of the time to wait translating the games. You get the hang of japanese games when you get the feel of the REAL animation.

I absolutely prefer subtitles since in most cases, the English voice acting is terrible......notable exceptions of course are the Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem series

sub tittledi mean, the game was made in japan its kinda weird to not listen to the true voice of the characters and translate it to our own native language, it sounds weird on an anime mainly -.-

It depends on the acting. If it sounds better in Japanese, then i would want the dialogue subtitled. If it's better in English, I want it in English. I would rather want a game that provides both though. Like Samurai Warriors or something.

It can be so weird sometimes to hear translations, especially after you've heard the original voice, especially if you found the original to be favorable. So for me I definitely absolutely prefer subtitles and not translations.

i rather have the subtitles than dubbed, the english voice acting sounds like the same 5 guys and 1 girl for every dubbing. Its like saturday morning cartoons doesnt matter if it was pokemon or digimon or medabots they all sound the same. Also i think the japanese voices fit the characters more

i find subtitle alot better because translations are often awkward and don't make much gramatical sense. i prefer them being dubbed because the jappenese adds a certain feeling to it that english (or other stranslated languages) dont.

subtitled is better. for example, on Naruto or Bleach games it's way cooler to listen the original voices. on the other types it's different, for a more easy understanding it's better dub voices, like a rpg, when you need to stay focused on the whole conversations. but even dubbed games it's better when they have subtitles, for some trouble on hearing some sentence .
