I think we should just leave it alone. We must respect japan or else. Someone told me th US went to war with japan because we wanted videogames.(Man, we really are a country wrpped around entertainment!)

I want to hear the Japanese, so I strongly prefer subtitles. I do want to have something to assist in understanding, but the Japanese makes it fun!

I also agree that sub is way better. Now i dont know about other languages but i know that american voice actors for games are horrible. The have no emotion or simply just dont fit the part. Every kid sounds like some 20 year old chick girls are anoying and the guys sound like buffards. Japanese is just so much better.....

Dubbed if and only if the the voice actors do a good job (which means nothing lame or terribly unrealistic).Otherwise, it's probably better with Japanese voice acting (which btw is really cute alot of the times) with Eng subtitles.

First off, my OCD demands I do this.To the guy on the first page who wrote a Japanese word. The word you want is actually ありがとう. If you don't see Japanese characters, then you should go get a patch so you can (or ignore it, which is the more particle solution). In direct romanji, that is arigatou, not arigatuo. In vocal romanji, it would be arigatoo (actually, an o with a dash over it, but I can't do that one).Ok, OCD satisfied.I like subbed better. Any dubbed reminds me of the horrible dubs I have had the misfortune to hear. Plus, since I am learning Japanese, I can understand some of the native voice. Now, if the game is originally American made, it should be in English. Maybe if you could guarantee good dubbers, I would considered dub.

Doesn't matter much to me. The problem I have with English Voice Acting is only when I hear the Japanese one first. That's when it sounds "wrong". But usually I can deal with it. Although, there are some that are utterly atrocious.Just to be safe, I'll go with subs.

Subs are better; in the instance of anime, English One Piece was horribleI' say the same applies to games

Subtitles thats what i always thought would be better for us having the best jap games...theres a ton of them that will not have a us release...So using subtitles for the voice parts would be the best solution (in quickness and monetary speaking) to bring jap games to the usa, with that they could know if its ok to actually pay a lot of money for translating all the text and getting usa voice actors...that i personally HATE!

I always prefer to watch anime subbed, and the same goes for games.I think that you should always keep the original audio intact, because a dub is usually simply not as good as the original. In fact, sometimes I have dual audiio anime which usually defaults to english audio. Sometimes I forget to switch the audio stream before pressing play, and become deeply shocked....

THey should be translated, because it is more comfortable not to hear a foreign language you can't understand.
