Well I think it depends. If the dubbing is good (like Phoenix Wright) then I'd rather it dubbed. Most dubs don't really work though so subbing might be better.

Subtitles, please. Quite a number of times the dub does sound quite "off" compared to the original Jap dialogue. Like in Megaman Battle Network 5 Double Team.Alternatively, they could just remove any voice acting, like in Megaman Starforce (Subaru's declaration of Star Break, etc, have been removed). Though there won't be any voices present, it does beat having a really messed up dub.

Subs are better then dubs in my opinion, some dubs are good, but most of the time dubs have very bad voice acting. I'm also used to see subbed programs. Almost 80% of the tv programs in The Netherlands that are in a foreign language are subbed.

I think the only good japanese games are Fire Emblem games, because, I really don't care about the story, and all the buttons are on the same place as the American version, so it's easy to play :P.

I would prefer Subtitles. It completely ruins the uniqueness of the game if the japanese was dubbed.Naruto for example, HORRIBLE dubs. For games like Duel Love, I would like the text translated to English BUT the voices kept the same.

Subtitled, subtitled, and definitely subtitled. I just prefer the original flavor! Also, monologuing sounds really, really weird in English. Strangely it sounds ok in Japanese, sounds ok in Tagalog, but English just feels awkward.

i would have it subtitled cuz the america kills the fun in japanese games, just like megaman battle network 6 and megaman starforce 2the america version of battle network 6 does not have the side quest of boktai and django battle chips, which the jap version has it, in starforce 2 that game has voice over in the jap version but the america version doesn'tvoice over for starforce in jap is like this "fire dinosaur"(transforming into the saurian tribe) "genocide blazer"(using the LFB) in america version 'BZZKKCHING'(sound effect of using tribe) 'FWWOOO-PEW(sound of enemy being hit)-OOO-PEW-OOOOOOMM'(using LFB 'genocide blazer')and of course alot of us gamers hate american version for removing wat we expected it to be in american version when we saw the jap version

I am hoping for some japanese games to have little tabs (like, japanese, and english under) so that I can learn japanese and play the game without making mistakes.

I depends. If the Japanese voice acting is great enough, I'll prefer subtitles. Otherwise, I'd go with translation.
