well each of them has there advantages. I mean a computer preferably a lap top can be taken any where whereas a console must have a tv and plugs everywhere. I choose computer though because your able to do so much more with the computer.

I voted console, but at the same time there are alot of ups to playing pc games. Namely and foremost in my mind are fan made hacks and patches that are usually easily installed onto pc games.

Consoles have way more freedom and of course are MADE for games, but I'd go with pc since mine can do various things, like play roms. (hint hint)

This is a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, playing consoles makes for a much more relaxed experience. Unless you're playing the Wii. It's nice to just sit back with a controller in hand and let your fingers do all the work. When I'm playing the PC, I feel like it's almost a whole (upper) body experience. I'm all on the edge of my chair, both arms are moving, fingers dancing across an entire keyboard, etc. The Wii is the exception because it requires a little precision in order to line the controller up with the sensor. But generally those games are worth it. There's also the type of game you play. There has yet to be an RTS that you can play with a controller, despite what people will have you believe. I think the same goes for most MMOs. FF11 you could play with a controller, but it was also a little more laid back in some regards. You had to go through your menu either way. PC MMOs, especially intense pvp ones like Warhammer, require millisecond reactions sometimes, and also have way too many options for a controller to ever house. On some characters I feel like the keyboard doesn't even have enough options for all that I have to do. The same can be said for FPS games. It's much easier to get a head shot with a mouse than it is with a joystick. On the flip side, platformers and fighting games suck to play with a dpad or joystick.

It depends on what the console is... I mean, a computer would be far better than a Game Boy. Still, i prefer to use my computer more as there are more stuff to do.. You can't chat with your friends(MSN, Yahoo, etc.) on GBA, Game Cube, etc.It depends on what the console is... I mean, a computer would be far better than a Game Boy. I like both. Playing DDR and Guitar Hero on my computer would definitely never be the same, but I do love my computer more. I'm definitely a multi-tasker so playing on my computer makes it easier to take a break and check my facebook or anything like it. And if I am at a point in a game where I have to get through a really time-consuming but not really attention-grabbing part, I can watch a movie at the same time.

I could never decide which I preferred until I got my new PC, but having it sitting here in front of me, I'd have to say I much prefer my PC. In the past, I'd always preferred consoles for my games because the games ran so much more nicely. The quality of the graphics were never as important as the fact that 95% of the time, consoles ran the game seamlessly, whereas I would often get chop on my computer. However, now that I am fortunate enough to have a computer strong enough to handle even games like Dead Space on maxed settings (It's an Acer Aspire 8920, for the record, not an expensive gaming laptop but it gets the job done quite nicely), I find that the ease and relatively low cost of amassing a large collection of games, the customizability, the more responsive controls (aiming with a mouse versus a stick, anybody?), and the fancy extras you can only get off the internet pretty much make my compy my preference, hands down.I won't even bother going into how much better they are for FPS and RTS games, there's no comparison, consoles weren't even meant for the latter. Consoles really only have the advantage in 3d platformers where 360* movement control is necesary, and even that is negligible if you just get a gamepad.Another thing I prefer about PCs is that most games are ported to PCs, regardless of what platform they're on (with the exception of the wii, which isn't really compatible), so you usually don't have to deal with cross platform issues.

Without a doubt I enjoy playing most games on consoles better...the only games I ever play on the computer are MMOs. I absolutely hate FPS on the computer.
