My first pet was a goldfish, mainly because of space issues.

My first pet was a 'Lassie' pet dog, roughly the same age as I was (parents obtained her when I was a baby). Very beautiful dog, sadly died when I was 12.

My first pet was a goldfish that I got from a fair that came into town. Unfortunately, it died within three days, but I don't know why. I fed it when I was supposed to and I made sure to clean the fish bowl whenever I was supposed to.

Mine was a fish named Whitey, named for his (durrrrrr) white color. My brother's fish looked like Seaking, although pokemon didn't exist yet then. Later we got a freshwater snail too, my dad was into that one because it basically didn't need food and helped clean the tank too. It was black, (and by that I mean it had a black shell,) but I don't remember it's name either.

Whitey was the first to die. I'm pretty sure it was ick, but I remember thinking that Seaking ate Whitey. We then flushed it. Seaking followed soon after, and also received the flushing. Don't remember what happened to the snail. I think it died, but we may have just got rid of it because it was boring on it's own and it was living way too long.

Good times, good times.

Two goldfish. One of them ate the other...it was a little unfortunate.

We got a couple dogs soon after. Luckily it turned out better than with the fish.

I had a cat when I was younger, technically my mother's cat, but whatever. It hated me. A lot. Probably because I was a toddler and prone to annoying it.

I had a pet bird named Lola. A few months later we realized it was a boy so we tried to change his name to Lolo but he never responded. XD

He was the family pet.

My first personal pet, however, was a rainbow colored small fish called Rainbow.

I had a gold fish but I accidentally flushed it down the toilet. Never let a 6 year old clean a tank!

My first pet was a cat named Gandalf. I got him when I was 3 or 4. He showed up on our porch one day as a kitten, small enough to fit in my (then) tiny hand. We took him in and took him to the vet, who gave him a clean bill of health but warned us that, even though he was healthy, he might still not survive long, because he was a runt. I decided to keep him anyways, and I never regretted it. Not only did he survive, he grew to be as big as a small pitt bull, and he never left my side, for as long as he was with us.
