Whoa, kinda creepy; all the hate. This just in guys, you don't have to catch them all, and doing so by no means you have to train them all and memorize the names of them all. And when it comes to breeding games, it's rather nice to have new breeds when a new game is released. No one would pay money to play the exact same thing over, and over, and over again. That said, each Pokemon game is fairly similar to its predecessor in gameplay, but the thing that makes it fun is catching new monsters. And remembering names is by no means a chore guys. It's rather sad that I se this as the biggest gripe. What I really find pathetic is the complete lack of mention of both the EV and IV system in the games post-crystal, as well as actually mating and breding to produce your perfect fighting machine. And natures as well, hold items. You /do not/ see such similar things in other breeding games and the fact that every individual species has different base stats, gives different EVs, and each and every monster you catch, regardless of species will hav unique IVs is really a testament to the series, /post Red/Blue/Yellow/ as fantastic breeding games. Honestly guys. Now I will admit the show got old after you realized Ash ws never, ever going to get anywhere.

Honestly I thought the new legendary pokemon looked more like Digimon. The style looks rather different from that of the original or those prior to the latest. Yea, it is supposed to be new and futuristic and what not, but sure brings back good memories when pokemon looked cool.

Well, they look weird and ugly, just the legendaries look cool. You can't keep making good and original pokemons after 200+...

it seems to me that the creators are losing ideas as some of the pokemons are quite ugly and bland. i mean remember the first 151 pokemons? they all had their own unique look, but now these pokemons look ridiculous and some makes you go "IS THAT REALLY A NEW POKEMON?"i'm not hating on the new ones as i enjoy the fact that they are still putting new content and expanding the world of pokemon but its getting old real fast.

The new pokemon look less like real animals than the first generation did. Caterpie was just a large caterpillar, Pidgey was an oversized sparrow and Persian was just a cat with a ruby on it's forehead. The current generation of pokemon look very different and perhaps less creative. I don't hate them, but I don't like them either.

I hate the new pokemons. A proof of this is that I only know Treecko, Mudkip, Rayquaza, Grondon, Deoxys, Bagon, Electryke, Ralts, Zigzagoon, Poochyena, Makuhita, Aron, Taillow, Latios(as), Silcoon and Wurmple from the new gen.

I like cheese mmm mmmmmmmm

So do I but I don't go around random boards saying I like cheese.First gen. Pokemon were the best. They looked so cool back then and still do.Second gen. Pokemon was very good. The looks started to taper off but I had no problem with the way they looked. They added an acceptable amount of new Pokemon and I didn't really have a problem. This generation was probably the best generation of them all though.Third gen. OMG! Not only did they try to make the 1st/2nd gen Pokemon cuter, but the new ones started getting uglier and uglier. After that there were so many legendaries and Pikachu look-alikes, it just started getting annoying. I also had a problem with too many Pokemon from past gens. gaining pre-evos/evos.Fourth gen. If they keep on adding ugly, useless Pokemon, I'm gonna stop playing the series altogether. The new Pokemon look horrible. (almost like they ran out of ideas for new Pokemon) Then they added 20 legendaries and hundreds of pre-evos/evos to past generations that didn't really need them. Not only that but has anybody noticed that there are more Pokemon based off of random objects like bells and balloons as opposed to previous generations?I also have an issue with those wierd/useless animations for using items like TM's and Potions. Why can't Nintendo get rid of all these useless animations and use that extra space for something cool like a new region or something like that?

"i aggree with pokemondude, the new pokemons are gay....the old ones were the boom"Again, I didn't realize pixels could be gay. It HAS to be the new technology!!!...seriously, grow up. Pixelated things can't BE gay unless they were programmed to be gay. (My homosexual pixels totally love your male pixels! Doesn't make sense now does it?The original 151 pokemon were, in my opinion, the best. Then the new ones came...then the new ones...Have you seen these things? They're better off adding more monsters into Dragon Warrior...But new pokemon? NO. Pokemon doesn't need any more...After the new 100 pokemon came out, the games, card game, and shows were killed (AGAIN, my opinion).

The first two gens. were great after that. After that, the Pokemon creators took a page out of the lazy man's book, and just created things that they saw around the room, based the pokemon after the original 151, and other assorted things. But once again, the first two generations were great. I still whip out my Gameboy color and play crystal or gold. (lost my yellow)
