Maybe Warioware? I dunno for sure, maybe it's a little bit too hard, you have to be fast and to be able to read. But I have a little nephew who played it and was like 6 year old (he's Dutch and the game was in English) and still knew what to do.

This is a really good question. What are games good for 4 year olds? Roly made a good point that animal crossing has more text to understand unless your four year olds can read good at that age. Nintendogs also is questionable as it involves tasks that are easy or convenient to us, but four year olds will not find that entertaining. Why not give them TOUCH OF THE DEAD?No I'm not kidding. Violence aside, it's a simple game from a different angle as you touch and touch the nasty monsters and when you can't hurt them anymore, you drag those bullets to that gauge at the lower left and continue shooting. It's games without the plots, without the heavy instructions like yoshi's island and mario brothers that four year olds are bound to play. And don't ever underestimate them, give them more harder games, even warioware and they'll soon grow to it and become geeks.... I mean gamers... ehehe.

What about Dogz and Catz or Hamsterz life. Those seem pretty understandable.

nintendogs is good for small kids to teach them about responsibility...animal crossing is good to teach them about the concept of $$ and in a way, can help to find out what kind of characters your kid is...

Personnaly I don't like the any of the Animalz games cause there boring. Plus I guess I agree with Nintendogs it's fun and easy just as long as they don't get their dog mad at them. :) lol
