Most of my immediate family uses laptops ever since our old computer broke. My dad is the only person that uses a PC in the family, and that machine is almost 10 years old now.

I would prefer a using a laptop. Desktops are good for memory, and gaming, but you can't travel with your desktop, and if you do you have a higher chance of it breaking than a laptop. So yea def. a laptop

At work, when I'm not in my office, I'm using laptop, but I find it less easy to use than a desktop, because, when your arm is upside the touchpad, your mouse can move alone. Moreover, in lot of laptop, there are less keys in laptop than in desktop.

I like both. I'm currently on my laptop, but that is because my desktop is next to my bed which is where my girldfriend is and I like to give her room so she can sleep while stay up. Once I've some time to put my other desktop together this will probably be replaced by a desktop because I generally prefer them. They're much easier to upgrade and they're cheaper, but for general stuff there's nothing wrong with a laptop =]

My laptop is actually faster than my desktop in every way, so I would have to go with my laptop. The only thing I don't like is the short battery life.

For me, it would definitely be a Desktop. For one, I really dislike the keyboards that come with laptops. The ability to customize your desktop is another factor

Laptop for sure. You can't bring a desktop to a cafe or a hotel unless you plan on carrying 20+ lbs everywhere you go.

I prefer my laptop as it has a 2 and a half hour battery so I can use it on buses and stuff. Storage isn't a problem as it has 800gb. It has 4 gb of RAM so it isn't slow. 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo. ATI Radeon 9400.

Laptop all the way! It's easy to carry, light and you can make sure nobody uses it when you aren't around.

I'd prefer a laptop...with which I am typing on right now. However, the system specifics are much much worse compared to a desktop! You can't play most FPS (First Person Shooting) or other types of full screen games without it lagging pretty badly. For laptops, a lot of money has to be spent to configure it to become as good as a desktop. Mobility does that to things.Oh yeah, the power consumption on laptops is lower than on desktops too, that's why I'd prefer laptops over desktops even if I'm not leaving the house.

My laptop could be considered a desktop replacement laptop, therefore I prefer it.I've just recently bought it whilst on holiday as it worked out cheaper, and I've yet to use my desktop other than to copy files across!

Laptop, I think it uses less electricity, since I'm online most of the day, I wanna use as little electricity as possible(El Cheapo here!)But if I'm playing SIMS or something then I'll use the desktop cause it's faster there.

"Laptops are annoying, the mouse is really annoying"Then buy a mouse for it. For me, I prefer my laptop. It's portable, can handle all the emulators I use, and I can play games even without the internet.
