Labtop, they are way easier to use and be comfortable with.

I use a laptop, which is faster now that I added more RAM.

Thats what I hate about mine too!

I prefer a desktop, because it comes with a big monitor, nice speakers, and a mouse.

Laptops for me. My current one plays anything at 1920x1200 fine and still only weighs in at under 3KG so is still portable. The only issue is upgradability but this one thankfully uses an MXM card and supports DDR3 and all Core2 processors before i7.

Desktop. Simply because I feel it is less hassle to use and maintain one. And I hate using the fingerpad thingy on the laptops.

Well I think the desktop is better because you have a better screen, mouse, CPU, and speakers. You also don't have to charge it and you can load better games on it.

I choose Desktops, sure you can't move them that easily, but their hardware is packing. They don't warm up as easily, (If you make your own) and the keyboard is so much easier to use. That's MY opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

Both have advantages. You can take a laptop everywhere, which is awesome. You're at your buddy's house, you just smoked a bowl, you've got your laptop, and on top of that there's an Elder Scrolls IV disk in the drive and a usb mouse in your bag. Prepare for a good night. But, for home use, desktops are worlds better and since most of your computer use is done at home, that makes them the superior type of computer. They're generally more powerful for their price, more customizable, and since you aren't carrying a desktop around, the risk of dropping it is nonexistent.

I want both. Laptop is great for its portability but it loses a lot of functions a desktop offers. But if I buy a REALLY expensive one...

At the moment I only use my mac laptop since my desktop computer got stolen a few weeks back. Before that I only used my desktop for all of my games, like WoW and Sims and all my emulators. It's easier to manage a laptop and now I absolute love the feeling of being able to sit infront of the TV and just chat, play or write without having to get up and sit by the desk.

I only have a laptop, and it's an old model so its battery is short lived so I keep it plugged in like a desktop.
