Well i own both a laptop and a desktop. But i prefer a Desktop, alwas had been and will be. simply because a (good) laptop is way to expensive, it gets to warm without proper cooling and don't like batteries. Unlike the desktop which doesn't have those limitations, exept for cooling. And there is less risk of accidentely sitting on it or what so ever. But that doesn't mean that a laptop is bad, it has many advantages compared to a desktop. such as that a laptop is more practical, it's portabillity is great and usefull for long trips in the train or plane, and it requires less space.

Right now I'm using a Desktop. I'd rather have a laptop though cause we have the wireless router thing and I hate the chair that I have to sit in all the time.

I prefer laptops just because I enjoy moving around a lot lol. With desktops, I can't lie down and use them and stuff. I also like taking my laptop into the kitchen and watching anime while I am cooking lol  I couldn't do that with a desktop!:P

I definitely would choose laptop. However, it'd be as fully equipped as the desktop. I often prefer desktop as not only it is faster, the screen is bigger and easier to use. However, if a laptop would have the same traits, it'll be perfect. Not only you have privacy and convenience, but also as good as a desktop. Moreover, if you want, you could bring seperate speakers, mouse, etc. and connect them to your laptop once you have settled down.

Desktop, because they have more power, are easier to upgrade and because I'm a bit heavy handed, thus it works out cheaper to replace a £5-10 keyboard than a laptop.Ideally though, it'd probably be better to have both so that if one needs to go in for repairs you're not bored and twiddling your thumbs until it comes back (5 weeks for tech support to do nothing and ship it back so I could trade it in... sheer hell!)

As with anything, it depends on what you're dong. I have an HP tablet pc, but I've also owned many desktops as well. Perhaps a better question is MAC or PC?

Mmmm, it depends what I'm using it for really. For gaming, I like to have a desktop because it's easier to upgrade and you can fit more fans in which is essential for gaming, laptops do tend to overheat easily. Anything else I'd take a laptop, love the portability...can't see me taking a desktop to the local cafe.

Desktop anyday everyday. Laptops are nice for convenience, but for the same price you can get a better desktop. I know people like to use laptops, but I just don't. Battery needs to be charged, which is annoying (especially for older laptops). Needs a mouse to br carried with it at all time s(trackpad sucks). Most are too heavy to comfortably carry with other belongings in a school setting.

Desktop, thats all I use. Even if it comes down to preferance, I dislike laptops. I don't like their default mouses, don't like the keyboards, and I think they generally have too many issues. I'll stick with the good ole desktop thank you ^^
