It all depends. I prefer a desktop for major gaming because I'd hate to haul everything with me all the time. But for minor gaming, like Fable: TLC, I prefer my lappy.

Laptop because it's light, convenient, and they are faster than desktop computers. Also they are cheaper.

Laptop, please.I am planning to replace my desktop with my current jumbo laptop and getting an new laptop, preferably a more portable one. O-0 Though i doubt that this could be relevant information on how it conserves space and that's why i chose it to be the mode of digital access throughout my house.

Depends on your needs really, but I prefer the desktop as it is generally cheaper.. So you get more performance for your money.

I've been using my laptop quite a bit lately. However, I prefer a desktop. They have better specks and they're faster.

Laptop. I really like the portability, I'm fine with the screen size, the ergonomics don't usually bother me, and it's a MacBook so the lack of a mouse isn't an issue (amazing trackpads).

i prefer having a desktop. after going thru 2 laptops in 5 years, i've come to realize jus how durable and dependable a desktop is. the hp desktop i've had since i was young is still working fine after 10 years (albeit i made a few changes to the hard drive); while as for laptops, i'm always worried about loosening up the internal parts as i constantly pick up and move the laptop around. not to mention, desktops are really cheap and powerful these days with awesome monitors. but laptops are more practical for me at the moment. the best option would be having both: a desktop for heavy duty action at home and a laptop to carry around with me

I used to preferred Desktop back in the days, since I did have to run around so much. But now a day, I have to be on the move constantly. I like laptop better. But then, I hate the way the keyboard works. they are so crunch up together and make it hard to type. Other than that, it works great. I can be an place and still able to use it.Love-NDS

Honestly, laptops have become so cheap and powerful that desktops are becoming more and more pushed aside. Laptops have just as much power as a desktop for a very small amount of money in comparison to a desktop. Also, space is becoming a huge issue for families all across the world. Desktops eat up a ton of space in comparison to a laptop.

Well now a day, they have the new kind of desktop that looks like it only have a screen. So the space does not come into factor anymore. It is more of being mobile vs stationary. The price in itself are not that much different anymore. it come down to just preference of being able to move around or not.Love-NDS

I wanted to buy a strong laptop for gaming & school purpose but it seems its actually better to have a desktop AND a laptop. I wanted to spend around 1200 on a strong laptop, I ended up spending 800 for a very good desktop with a good gpu and bought a nice light 13inch laptop vs 400 :weep:

Desktops. My desktop costs 1/2 the price of an equivalent laptop, doesn't overheat, has better resolution, has a numberpad, a proper optical mouse and doesn't need a battery.Anything I need to do on the go (checking emails, etc) I can do on a cell phone.
