I hated laptops. I much prefer a desktop at the desk, with a chair on wheels, and a stationary monitor. The desktop has so much more potential than a laptop. The fact that it's cheaper than laptops makes it more appealing.

I would prefer a desktop as it is much more better at performance than laptop.

I prefer my desktop for certain things, but my laptop is good if I need to take it somewhere.

I love my laptop. Portability is a big thing for me because I'm going to university. Love being able to take it with me around campus and finish projects or surf the web between classes. The school has computers obviously, but good luck getting one at certain times of the day. Having a laptop is just so convenient for me. I would like to get a desktop, but it would just be for gaming. Until then I am happy with my laptop.

My desktop is from 2001, so you could probably guess that I use my laptop 99.9% of the time. I just like being able to move if I need to while using the computer.

i like both. laptop is nice to use because it can be used anywhere due to its portability. it's nice to be in bed and on the internet at the same time. there's no feeling like it. but i would have to choose desktop over laptops only because desktops are generally faster unless it's a piece of poo. in my room right now, i have a desktop set up that runs really well. it allows me to do a lot especially play games while running itunes and surfing the internet. my laptop isn't built up for that and i would have to watch out for the battery life. so in the end, if i had to choose between the two desktop would be my choice

It depends on the situation. I would like a laptop if I wanted to carry my things with me (which I would) but when I need space for all of my stuff, I rely on my desktop.

Hmm. I have both a laptop and a desktop, and in all honesty I prefer the desktop. I don't have to deal with power/Ethernet cords running across the floor, iffy wireless, my hard drive running out of space, using the mouse pad (which I hate...), I'm always set up, desktops -usually- have more processor power for breaking out Half-Life 2, etc. I'm willing to trade convenience for capabilities. If you're concerned about good desktops being too expensive, consider building your own. It's much cheaper and most of the time you can re-use the case. Also, Dual-core is the way to go! (most programs can't even split their tasks into 4 cores lol).

A laptop, because it's portable - and mine's a nice colour. it also has more capacity than my desktop computer.

I prefer a laptop due to the mobility of being able to go from the desk then to my bed for more comfort and warmth as opposed to a desktop....although you could get a big enough screen and bring the keyboard/mouse to the bed that way lol....

desktop's much better than laptop, always, when you talk about anything but mobility and power consumption.. there's performance, quality, integrity, satisfaction, cost of course, etc..the only good things about laptops are mobility and power consumption..though you can control the amount of power being consumed by your desktops, but its uncommon..

I prefer my desktop, because it's more durable and reliable. I'm pretty much the only one who uses it in my family, too, so I don't have to worry about privacy issues and the like.

Desktops. I despise the recent portability trend. I don't want laptops o replace desktops, and I don't want my phone to be my main computer.
