I certainly prefer my laptop. There are several things in desktops favor, including unlimited power supply and general increase of processing power as well as cheaper price. But there are two major advantages to laptops in my mind. Chiefly: Mobility. I can play my laptop in bed. Can't do that with a desktop. Can't take my desktop to class. Can't take my desktop in the car. And the battery is a limitation in some cases, but in some is beneficial, mainly in times when the electric bill is an issue or if the power is out.

if you're still unsure, ask yourself if you'll be needing a laptop for school. Cuz I had this dilemma once too and ended up getting a desktop, 26 inch lol, since I really do like watching movies and all =p haha. sooo weigh your chances. =) Although if you ask me, laptop imho =p

I use the laptop. It's portable, like most of you said, and I like sitting on my bed with a laptop while I type up a story or something.

Desktops due to the general speed issue. I figure that may change eventually. However, I do want an actual keyboard, mouse, and screen. That will always be an issue with a laptop. The mouse issue is easy enough to fix, but by the time you add a keyboard and screen I fee like you might as well have a desktop. Despite that, there's still the speed thing. Portability is nice though.

I would need both laptop and desktop. Laptop would be needed for outside work. Desktop would be needed to play games on.

I would most definitely go with a laptop because its portable and lightweight and still packs as much power as a desktop :P . Especially if you are a person like me and like to travel alot, then having a laptop would be ideal.

Desktop at home, iPhone on the go. I've always found laptops cumbersome.

I'm in university, thus, I prefer laptop. My boyfriend bought me a monitor screen, keyboard and mouse to hook up to my laptop so it's kind of like a desktop <3

Desktop for gaming indeed. Labtop if i have to move around a lot from one place to another. Desktop is easier to upgrade and clean and generally has stronger performace then a labtop. you need to get a high tech labtop to play games but can get a decent desktop to play the newest games in high mode.

i'll go with the laptop , I'm the person who is always out. And when I need to do work or I just need to play, I just find a nice coffee shop and do my stuff.
