for me, the reason that i have always loved final fantasy games, is their ability to tell stories, combined with what is usually an extremely interesting battle/magic system. my personal favorite is final fantasy 7, which is an absolutely epic game that covers about 50-70 (give or take depending on how much noodling around you do) hours of gameplay, and the best part about it is that the game never gets stale. The other reason i love 7 is the materia system is possible one of the best magic systems i have ever encountered. It is simple to use right off the start, but can be much more complex (the +- mp/hp etc... you hardcore ff7 fans know what im talking about 
) and the final part i love about the game is the character development, especially on the main character. If you ever get a chance i recommend all final fantasy games to you, but in particular 7! (8,6 and 12 are also amazing games)

the characters are diverse and the story just draws you in from beggining til the end, also FF7 had the fabeled limit breaks which were just freaking awsome.

because none of them are consistent and redundant. they are all no more than 55-60% similar and that only applies to FFX and FFX2.

this is my first reason..when im still in my grade school day..the first RPG that i've played is FF I..followed by LUFIA II and then FF II...thats when I started to loved the FF series...its like a part of my life LOLa childhood friend nyahahahI never had played Final Fantasy Games but most of my classmates enjoy playing it. Why????

plot, cinematics, and gameplay i know this might now pertain to the ps1 games but in FFX and FFXII the cinematics are amazing and in FFX the plot is better than any game i have ever played

I love Final Fantasy games because of the interactive storyline. It was so well develop it surpassed many RPG games of its time. You were able to customize you characters even more as each series came our for release. Final Fantasy was also good for its story and cinematic cut-scenes. For this I praise Square for making such a great game.

Basically, Final Fantasy is a very fun and intriguing series. The storylines are always well done, the characters kick ass (mostly), and there's always MOOGLES and CHOCOBOS! In fact, just about every adventure series you can think of is a Final Fantasy in and of itself, even if it's not part of the actual Final Fantasy series... :-P
