XBox 360 is very comfortable and simple, not like the N64/GC ones.

The best is clearly GC's one... it fits perfectly in the hands and the button are so well placed <_<

SNES or xbox. The N64 when I first picked it up was like, woah how do I hold this? Turns out most games used the analog stick. The Gamecube's controller I didn't like how all the buttons weren't the same size it just looked unnatural. The PS2 with it's double shoulder buttons made the top too big and odd. Never played dreamcast.

i think the n64 had the best controller, but maybe it's because i haven't really played the other systems that much.

N64 controller would win if it wasn't for all the problems with the joystick. Other wise, the Gamecube, with the 360 not far behind.

I like the GC controller the best; simple, confortable, and I never lose track of buttons (I still yell out "How to I throw special grenades?!?" in Halo 3)

I think by far is Game Cube as well (just a better designed and improved version of N64)

gamecube is pretty comfortable, the only problem I have with it is the location of the Z button, which is the only one that just seems out of the way for me. I'd rather it be farther bellow the R trigger or something.360 controller comes in second although it took me a while to sort out between bumpers and triggers.Never liked the PS3 controller, feels awkward, and although the D-pad is awesome the joysticks feel out of place and they always cramp my hand.

360's looks cool, is relatively simple...But Wii's is simple, comfortable, and I think they look cool. Nunchuk - all three buttons easy to press when needed. The Wiimote itself...all the buttons you use a lot are where you need 'em.I like the Wii overall.

the snes had the best controller.. why?? all other controllers were modeled after it! Just look at the current controllers. Even the classic controller for the wii... all have basic snes styled control pads.

I'd say the X-Box 360 controller, but that's another forum. As for oldies, I'll go with the Playstation.

I've always like the N64 controller, followed by my Xbox 360. Never cared for the ps controllers.

I hate the gamecube controller, the N64 isn't very good either.Xbox is the best, if you need the extra functions then sure, 360, ps controllers don't feel as nice as the xbox, xbox is smoother and looks better.
