PS2 controller. All the comfort of the N64 without the joystick pain, and the ease of the SNES controller.

GAMECUBE FTW!!!Well, really, the Gamecube's controller is very comfortable (ergonomic?) and has enough buttons to support everything needed. The Nintendo 64's controller, although a good controller, always made my thumb sore after a long session. The Wiimote, on the other hand, is great, but it feels strange not to have lots of buttons...

The Playstation 2 controller is the best for handling, but for pure looks, the Wii.

The gamecube controller because I can master the controls easily. Well not on all games like for example, on the Tricky Tires Mini-Game from Mario Party 6.

Gamecube has absolutely the best controller in my opinion. Xbox's controller s came pretty close but gc's is just so comfortable in your hands and playing any game feels perfect with it....unlike ps2's controller...i hate the analog sticks they feel so awkward and loose

I'd say the xbox controller is the best. The analog sticks are easy to get to. I can't stand the PS2 controller, as the analog sticks are so out of they way, and using them is awkward.

The SNES had the best controller. It took the simple design from the NES controller and improved the controls and made it more comfortable to hold. SNES all the way.

80's, call em crazy but I actually like the super action controllers for the ColecoVision. Might be awkward for some but my sister and I loved em. You could saw they were to the plain ol' arati 2600 joysticks like a Wii controller is to playstation or xbox controller.90's era, I personally liked the 6 button arcade copntroller for the genesis.Out of late 90s' to early 2000's, I'd say the play station controllers with the twin analog sticks. I though it had a good balance of number of buttons and button placement, making it easy to use various fingers at a time. I never really felt that the n64, game cube, or xbox controlelrs were quite as comfortable.Presently, while I don't own a wii, I find their gryoscopic controllers quite interesting, thought I haven't spend much time with one so I can't say it's a favorite.Of all time (at least maybe untill I really get soem qualtiy time with a Wii), my pick would be the PS2 controller.

the snes controller is light simple and really easy to use, but still provides a challenge like on the mario kart courses, but n64 is more verstiile overall, for games such as mario party.overall equal, they both hav sweet purposes

I dont think Nintendo 64 had the best controller in related to Endurance... meaning that they dont last long..... you usually have to buy another controller ...... and i think gamecube is good... because their controllers last long ... like a year or 2...... and aslo playstation.... however if you are talking about controller in the sense of which one is more fun... i think it would be n64 because of the Z button... it is like a shooting game or a flying game could be played in a cool way....

It's a toss up. I really can't decide between PS2 and 360. I guess I like the PS2 controller better cause it's been around for so long and and does have a nice fit.

the best controller ever made is the playstation. it set the standard for all coming controllers and is the easiest to use. the only other good one is the n64 which is not even half as good as the playstation.

The N64 controller is the best once you know how to hold it.
