I will back you up on that one, i have played on a and Phillips G7000 aka Magnavox Odyssey 2. and a vintage pong console.

the oldest i've seen is an intellivisionthe oldest console i've ever owned is the atari ST, i think that was what it was called, basicly a home pc with tons of games

odyssey is the oldest I care about/would like to own. I recommend these books on gaming history: Phoenix-4th edition coming soon from rolenta press, they also do a book about the odyssey and ralph baer its inventor.

Well, now that I've done my research, the Magnavox Odyssey is the oldest system that was released! It was released in the 1972. Although, the game Tennis for Two is older, played on an oscilloscope. The game was made in 1958, pretty cool, huh? I can't believe some people haven't heard of anything older than Nintendo 64!
