I think the PS2 has too many memorable games to die easily. And, like everyone else has been saying, the PS3 is too expensive and doesn't have enough good games to gain attention.

i think its not.ps2's games is not too expensive compare too ps3..it's is also has many games.If ps3 games cheap ps3 will die...

i think they say the same thing about PS at the moment PS2 came out, but look at this there are still many guys play PS nowaday

the ps2 probably wont die, cause it can also play the ps1 games, and according to my friends, ps3 cant play ps2 or 1And lots of parents dont like to buy new systems >>

PS2 will never die. They are still releasing games for it. It was the best there was, the best there is, the best there ever will be!

I don't think so, PS2 will last for a VERY long time... since many people still don't have coz they don't have the money to afford... well, it will be, because of something my brother told me... he said something like, the less people who want it, the lower the price... so yeah, we all don't wanna buy it YET, let's just wait for it to get cheaper...PS2 is too good... it reigned a legacy much greater than any other console. But I guess PS3's gonna make a big hit, since later on, it will get cheaper and yeah, better gameplay and graphics... and of course, better games... oh yeah just wanna ask, will Disgaea 3 also be for PS2? And is GHIV = World Tour?

Well there are still some greats games coming for the PS2, like Dynasty Warriors 6 came out for the PS3, so they made a ps2 version, called Dynasty Warriors 6 Special, coming in I think November 18thAlso that the PS3 SHOULD HAVE a function to play PS2 or PS1 games too, so thats also why they have horrible sales. Like, how come it can't play PS2 games? It would sell much better if that would of happened

i doubt it because there are still a few ps2 games coming out and the only good games i want to play in ps3 in my opinion are gta4 and mgs4

No. PS2 not yet. There are still exclusive games for PS2.For some rich people, PS2 is dead. But for average, not yet.Well I have both yet I still play alternatively.

The PS2 is definitely not dead yet since I doubt the PS3 is getting as much money as they want or should get right now. Plus there are still games that are coming out.

The last great game for PS2? God of War II. That is how long it is. Since then, the PS2 has become sort of a dead console. However, I still have weekly Winning Eleven games on it against pals..

I wouldn't call it dead just yet, although I'm not sure just how much more can be done with it. If the PS3 were anywhere near reasonably priced, then yes, the PS2 would have died a quick and painless death. But since it's beyond most people's budget at the moment, I think that PS2 still has some life left in it. At least until the price drops more. But have you SEEN the graphics for the PS3?? It's a beautiful thing.

I agree with many ppl here that PS2 won't die anytime soon...It's actually considered the best value for its price. Considering how you can get a system for like $150 i think (maybe lower by now) and they still release new games for it... So ya... PS2 won't die anytime soon...

I dont think sooo, there are many games still been released and a lot of predicted, I dont think it will die any soon. PS3 still has a lot to prove in terms of cost-benefit...

Not yet, it's still selling almost as good at the PS3 according to August sales.
