Still Use PS2?

Well the Playstation 2 is on the verge of being extinct. There are few more good games comming out but soon the Playstation 3 will take over due to new graphics and games.

ps2 can not beat ps3.

With PS3 on the loose, has PS2 already struck zombie status?? If not, what do you predict?

People are still producing games for PS2. Like others I believe the PS2 still has a lot of time before it dies due to PS3's insane price.

The PS2 will never die out cause the PS3 it tooooo much. but still i love my PS2&3 sony is better off still making games for the PS2 is what i think.

fewer and fewer games are coming out for the PS2. Most of the high demand titles (GIV, etc) are only made for the next-gen consoles.however, the PS2 and its classics (final fantasy, GVice City,) will always be fun for me and its still a great console!

naaaaaawwwww..... Ps2 will die when the ps3 price drops, and they stop manufacturing ps2 consoles

I just bought a ton of old but good games for the PS2 so mine just got revived. As a console on the market, if people keep making games for it and people keep buying them then it is far from dead.

i think... people like me... who work to pay bills and such and cant afford a new PS3... will continue to play ps2 :3 until the cost goes down. But after that... i think ps2 will be just like ps1.

i still play ps2... until KH3 comes out... im keeping it. Of KH3 comes out on ps2 and ps3, ill just keep it :3

I still use it to play Guilty Gear and whatnot.The only reason why the PS3 hasn't trumped the PS2 is because of cost and a lack of games that the mainstream public finds interesting.

well the ps2 is going to stay for a while because not a lot of ppl want to go buy a ps3, and there are many great classics for the ps2... like for me, its SOCOM III

I donīt think so, cauz for me and for a lot of people buying a game of ps3 is like buying 2 of ps2, besides there are a few games that are coming out on ps3 and not coming out on ps2, and for last but not least i give you this link (hope I donīt get warn ^_^ ) to a resent study that says that 30% of americans plays ps2, more than 360 and wii together.http://psp-news.dcem...ned-178166.htmlhope I helped. My one definately is it doen't play DVD's or PS1 games anymore and takes an hour for the cleanest PS2 games to work.

of course the releases will come to a stall eventually, but not so soon. The console is too popular, so it will be alive for a while, at least.

of course, and if i have to play ps3, i just go to my brother's room :3 i don't even have wii or xbox : D

Well seeing as how WALMART still has a very large section of PS2 games....I'd say that it's still alive and kicking. Once large corporations who are only interested in making money stop selling it, then we shall know that it finally died...

I still playing it because in the Ps3 and xbox360, and wii and even ds doesn't have the games I like so I play everysingle one so I get to play the games I like.

U At Least Shud have gotten a Wii Or A 360....U Still Play PS2?? Jezz My Wii Is Coming On Thursday...ive cleared my Space for my wii Where my PS2 was and im gonna sell me ps2 for 90 Pounds....Im Not playing that old Thing Again

I don't mean to flame in response, but...I used to have a ps2 since launch, than I got addicted to 360 but Since my Replacement Broke and my Replacements Replacement Broke!! UM... Yeah, So I'm back to Playing PS2, I never should have lost sight of it!Wii has a few strong promises for me, but I feel that is too much of a group effort and honestly I don't have enough friends over at any given time to really make the most out of it. and I could'nt live with myself swinging around like a ... by myself. that's just kinda sad really.I'm not trying to favor, but really, Dont get caught in the tundrum of any specific system just because its the latest and greatest. Unless ps2 is not really for you and you only have 1 controller and 2 games, that by all means get rid of it and play something that you will enjoy.

Money's been a big factor in me not upgrading beyond my PS2... but, I'm not touching any system that has its own version of the BSOD - if my gaming console is that unstable, then forget it! None of the 360 games are must-have enough for me for that. As far as the PS3, well... again, it goes back to cost. Too dang expensive.
