how do you scale down an image for use in you signature? i found a picture i would like to use, but it is too big please help

This is kinda wrong in this section - should be in spam->gfx.Whatever...You can even do this with Paint (If you haven't got a better gfx prog)open the pic up, go to the menu "Picture" (sorry, I've got the German version,so I don't know for sure how it is called in other versions) and select the second menu entry - "stretch" or something like that (the shortcut is Ctrl+K for me). Then you can stretch / scale down your image. Easy !
