The Story line was intense... although the graphics for the game were on the lacking side... it made up for that with being i belive the first RPG on the PS1 console, having great music, multiple roughts to take, "Harder" boss then the final boss, multiple side story's that you can chose to use, characters that you can chose to use or not, fairly complex battles, seemingly impossible scenarios that can be rewarding once finished. With all this to take in play for the First RPG to be on multiple discs, estimating 60 hours of game play to get threw the game without completing 100% beating it, and to have a story to keep you interested in it the whole time its no wonder why people that have played it will remember it as one of the best RPG ever if not the best for many. well thats all i can think of for now...

FF7 is my MOST favourite rpg game ever made on ps platform. It had by far the best storyline compared to any other ff. graphics were not that good, but it made FF7 feel like it is only one of a kind since i've played it trough so many times that i remember EVERYTHING from that game. Personally i don't even get bored to play it. Got it since i was in 3 grade and i still play it, it's so addictive that you just possibly can't get bored to it.

The gameplay is good, the story is good. Everything about the game is good. You can't really explain why people love FF7 so much. We just do.

... must i give reasons? *sighs* fine. here are the best reasons why final fantasy 7 is what it is.1.) Plot.2.) Unforgetable characters.3.) First Final Fantasy game to use full 3d in battles AND GC4.) Giant-ass swords. Gotta love them giant-ass swords that are wieldable with one hand.5.) Tifa. Need I say more?6.) The very end of disc 2, where...... XD you thought i was going to give it away, did you? PLAY THE GAME TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS!7.) KOTR. THE best summon in the entire game and in my opinion, the entire series.bah... there you go. 7 reasons, why Final Fantasy 7 is by far, THE best Playstation game to own.

For me FFVIII was better because of the nostalgic feeling of it being my first RPG ever, but FFVII was the first 3d game released on the ps so it has the same nostalgic effect

I like the system, especially materia. Its quite cool. At FF VI, you have to go leveling each magic level of each characters there. Meaning that if you want 2 characters to have lightning magic at the same level, you have to level them individually. At FF VII, this are different. magic levels of spells are embedded at the materia. So if for some reason its attached to Tifa and we need Cloud to have it, its just a matter of switching, neat eh ? the rest are graphics, characters, storyline...

Perhaps because Final Fantasy VII meant the start of better graphics in the Final Fantasy series. Also, because the setting of the game was somewhat in the modern world, unlike the other Final Fantasy series that took place in the past.

i am going to say this once and only once and i hope everyone reads this very well. Stop saying that the graphics for ff7 suck or that they are lacking! I'm gonnna break it down for everyone. first of all this game came out not long after the psx came out and that was when its graphics were absolutely top of the line. you cannot compare it with todays games because its just too old of a game. that would be like comparing the nes mario to mario sunshine. and the fact of the INSANELY great summon graphics and general battle graphics and fmvs, they reached their limit with graphics, unless they wanted more than 3 cds, but if they had done that, it would have been much too expensive and woulda been scrapped. if you have any questions, message me

The gameplay and the storyline is what made this my favorite RPG. Yeah the graphics are not the best, remind ya this was release a long long time ago. Graphics do not make the game though, and no game should be based primarily on the graphics. Cloud is just one of the coolest protagonists you can come across. Perhaps you have people flame this game simply because a lot of people say it's great. Whatever your reason, it does not change that this is my favorite game of all time. :P

The whole plot makes it amazing. It has great atmosphere which consists of music and (yes I don't lie) graphics. I dont think that the new FFVII for PS3 will be good. These kinda geometrical characters design and movie-like enviroment made this so good. but back to the thing. Great magic and battle system, charactyers own personalities - in little words - pearl of PSX games.

This is my second favourite Final fantasy after FF8. The storyline of this game is just amazing. I prefer FF8 simply because... Gunblades :waaa: Not really, I just prefer elements of the story and stuff to FF7. The same with gameplay.

It had an awesome storyline, and the materia system was incredible. It allowed customization far beyond anything I've seen in any other game. I've put hundreds of hours into that game just trying to make a perfect set up. It also has really addicting mini games and side quests.
