Qoute to allRPG Games I've played are FF VII, FF VIII, FFX, Chrono Trigger.etc (actually i forgot all of them )But as it seem....Not to make fun of it, just see the fact-The story is the best. -Good music themes, but rather glitch sound effect, example : - Vincent's gun sounded like !tongg! not !duaarhh! -Some of the summonn like ifrit, sounds like my broken TV's sound-Red XIII, I don't understand his physic... I mean how could a human grandpa with biogical wolf / lion / species or something like that !!-Good sidequests, with its chocobo, weapon, etc.-Weapon.... It seems Penance, Dark Aeons (FFX International) would be harder, long, EXTREME HP!!!-Old RPG system.(Sphere Grid in FFX Has more complex)-Simple Weapon System (Whether now FF XII can access to all weapon, FFX can custom like what we want!)

Uh, I don't. I hate the game with a passion. I don't deny that it is a decent game, but the amount of attention it receives for being such a mediocre game has annoyed me beyond recovery.

I loved the game mostly for its storyline. The characters were interesting and the story kept on making me play.

Haha, I can't believe you people, "The graphics kind of sucked", it was released 11 years ago, the graphics in todays games are 'duh' better then it, be reasonable. ^_^ Anyways most people like it because it was a story-line / side-quest intensive game, the gameplay was smooth, battle was strategic and unique.

The reason Final Fantasy VII was so great was because of the storyline. You had a troubled protagonist whom you couldn't really figure out throughout the first part of the game, yet still empathized with. You had supporting characters who you could relate with and you became invested in their emotions and then you had a villain who committed ridiculously awesome feats of evil. You became embroiled in the story, and some people still are.

final fantasy VII was actually the first RPG i ever tried, one of my friends my early age idols had the game and i wanted to loan ithe gave me the game and i played till the temple of ancients boss monster devil wall or whatever its name was, and got stuck there.the game is just fantastic i could really get into the character of Cloud infact cloud pretty much became my role-model of the timethe story is just so deep and good, the battle systems all minigame's chocobo races and such its just a perfect package. And yeti havent really found any final fantasy to be better than 7 it's my all time favorite RPG. if you yet haven't finished the game you shouldi've played it trough 13 times and im still not tired of it.bottomline Final Fantasy VII is one of my favorite games and my favorite RPG

if you have not played the game you should play it and you will know why it is one of the greatest games of all time. It had a good storyline and characters, the only thing that was wrong with it was it should have looked like ff8

First major reason. And this may get banned, though may get edited.Sephiroth and Cloud are the sex.(Please don't eat my soul moderators)But onto serious stuff. The storyline behind VII was completely epic. The best FF storyline in my opinion. The materia system in my opinion was awesome. (especially the mastered all worth 1.4 Million part. Tehee) And the weapons worked well along side it. (Slots and such). Levelling is a challenge in the gamee (unlike VIII) And chocobo racing is immense =]. I still know the chocobo guide off by heart.I had more points, but I've been awake almost twenty hours, and I forgot them. Sorry.

Definitely gotta mention the cut scenes. One of the first major RPG with dope cut scenes and signature music done by an amazing conductor. Granted, looking back on the game the actual gameplay, timing and art seem pretty dated but that's going to happen to any great game. You take a game like Crono Trigger and the retro feel of the art style is pretty timeless. Pixelated Barret lugging around a gun arm was pretty legit when I was a kid, now: not so much.

THe story of the game was awesome. If you don't like 7 you iether don't like RPG's or played it after like 2000 where there were alot better graphics out.
