i loved the game because that was the first final fantasy game i ever played that wasnt 2-D and because of the limit system the awesome summonings and the storyline with the creepy enemy

If I hadnt played 7 I probably wouldnt still be playing FF even though it had a looong story and can easily take 50 60 even 100 hours to just blow through just to get the gold chocobo or get the ultimate weapons. Its easily one of the best and probably the best game for the playstation

Decent graphics, long- very long gameplay time. fun to play again after a few years. And of course a very compelling story. I love ffVII

Its my favorite game of all time because it was a masterpeice.The storyline was flawless, the characters were varied and compelling, the music was phenomenal, and the gameplay never got boring. Its quite possibly the greatest game of all time.

The Story line was intense... although the graphics for the game were on the lacking side... it made up for that with being i belive the first RPG on the PS1 console, having great music, multiple roughts to take, "Harder" boss then the final boss, multiple side story's that you can chose to use, characters that you can chose to use or not, fairly complex battles, seemingly impossible scenarios that can be rewarding once finished.With all this to take in play for the First RPG to be on multiple discs, estimating 60 hours of game play to get threw the game without completing 100% beating it, and to have a story to keep you interested in it the whole time its no wonder why people that have played it will remember it as one of the best RPG ever if not the best for many. They like it because it's their opinion. End of story.Reasons for liking it...well...good music? I honestly can't stay interested through the game, although disc 3 nearly makes up for it all. Battle Arena and Vincent Limit Breaks FTW.

The game is great man...the 3D fighting and graphics are great...much more better than any of the other final fantasies...the movie rocks too

I mostly like it because it was the first final fantasy I played. It was fun and the characters were awesome. I think it was the first final fantasy to have a really elaborate plot, and the only final fantasy that took longer than just a few hours to finish.

To be honest...To me it wasnt actually a good game,i thought it was just ok in some bits like when u meet cid and battle the weapons but....hated the parts where ur in clouds past and its like sephiroth nooo dont and sephiroth just says F*** you in a sense to cloud.

I think my opinion has to be very similar to other peoples, and for me it was the story.Im always playing Final Fantasy VII and i believe that i always will, for me it is like reading a great book, which you cant put down and are always compelled to pick up. Your favorite film that you go to watch at the cinema twice, or the most amazing play you go to see and when its over you cry cos your not there watching it anymore. The story is so enthralling to my imagination that the only possible story that could top the one reflected in my imagination from the game is if it were to happen to me in reality. But then again it is personal taste on what a game should be about. I like to escape reality. But my brother cant stand Final Fantasy because he believes that it is too easy to defeat foes and the gameplay isnt really that interesting to him. But hey, i love it.

The Materia system was awesome and I loved playing around with it and tweaking it. That and I really liked the story and character development.

In all honesty, Cloud was pretty amazing but I don't think he was the absolute BEST protagonist ever. That title, in my opinion, belongs to Squall from FFVIII. I will say, however, that FFVII definitely had the better storyline and was amazing at the time considering the 2-Dimensional graphics we were used to on the SNES and SEGA consoles.one word...cloud; he was one of the best FF protagonist ever...Tifa was pretty cool too; this game was awesome just because of its 3d-ness & its amazing storyline
