This game is cool, just some stupid law and useless job spoil it. I've never play FFTA, just FFT in PS and the ability system annoy me too. Sometimes I stuck because doesn't have new weapon and I must change the job so my job point won't useless

Some laws are hard to follow but for A2, if you follow law, the judge rewards you.

My normal 6 consist of Luso (Fighter), a black mage with all 3 ga spells and time magic (hastega a must), a sniper (double shot a must, will become a assassin when I get the quest), A Gladiator with dual wield, a summoner with elemental magic, and a hunter with advice and some more ranged support.

It would be nice if I was warned before hand that the monsters in the final level of the stupid tower were lvl 90 ish...Stupid false sense of security.

Are you by any chance talking about the final battle? because for me the monsters were only about lvl 50, about the same as my characters... or are you talking about something else?FFTA2 is a fun game, but some of the cons imo are: the stupid laws, the mp system. Some laws are just plain stupid. For example, there's one called "being robbed" or something, and guess what, the opposing team is filled with theives... At least the penalties for breaking laws are way watered down; just no reviving, loss of privelage, and no law bonus. The mp system is annoying, and makes your maximum amount of mp nearly redundant. Each turn you get 10 mp (unless you have mp channeling, a privalege). At least the support abilites like halve mp exist for my summoner =D. Although i would've prefered the old mp system, where you start off with your max mp and it goes down as you use it.I also hate the bazaar system, which is why I abuse the auctions =POverall though, it's quite a decent game.

True about the laws, they are not stupid they are just odd. Like not using MP or my personal favorites the 20> Damage law. But i believe the mp system makes the game more challenging. True you cant abuse that Ultima spell over and over again or use all of those heavy MP spells but most of the spells are cheaper in MP cost. It causes you to be more strategic with using spells, instead of being a heavy abuser of the same spells.Another thing, the bazaar system wasn't like how it was in XII but it still has its uses.

He means the moonlight tower or whatever its called, that randomly spawns next to grazton seaport. (names may be off, its been a little while)And this game is good, except I don't really get the exp system/mvp system and it isn't super easy to manipulate crazy 90 exp hits on your own characters to lvl up a new clan member like it was on gba. but I suppose that can be seen as a good thing. The fact that the two new races are completely unnecessary (I only made a geomancer cuz I really, really wanted one, lvl 45 and basically worthless) and don't in my eyes really even have an Ivalice feel, (of course, the pig-like race is just an ugly Bangaa in FFXII, lazy much Square-enix?) like cid. (Which in this game is the worse abuse of a final fantasy name staple ever.) The story is kind of dumbed down to the point a kid should be insulted, but the Cameos from Tactics advanced are nice. What I'd really like to see is an abandonment of the Ivalice storyline and a return to the all-hume/monster cast of the first tactics, which is still my favorite.

for me, i find it much more bearable than FFTA. the law system is easier to follow and there is more jobs... which i can add to my FFT WCIII map in progress :awesome: on the other hand, neither of the aforementioned FFTactics games beat FF Tactics on PSone!!! RAMZA PWNZ!!!EDIT: And Delita is gay...

I have it, allthough I haven't finished it yet due to lack of.. Well, time :) The new classes and races seem like a nice addition indeed.Yeah the laws in the GBA version had me quite annoyed. But here it's easy to follow or at least easy to see. Not sure if the story is better or the gameplay but there is, as expected, a bit of improvement in the graphics.

I much prefer this game over the first.Simply because unlike the first game, FFTA2 was not heavily focused on the main story. In fact, a heavy portion of its weight was occupied by side quests, which I personally think SE did a very creative job with. The main story itself isn't so deep, but the character development has much improved over the first FFTA, and even the numbered Final Fantasy games. Luso himself did not seem very interesting, simply because YOU are Luso, and from his perspective, you are looking at many other interesting characters, such as Cid, Adelle and Frimelda, whom all have shadowy pasts, and eventually they tackle their problems and move on with life. The character development was almost seinen anime level. It kind of felt like watching Cowboy Bebop (one of the best anime out there), and when it comes to side quests stories, Adelle and Frimelda immediately come to mind. The gameplay itself has become much generous. Laws and Judges still exist, however, breaking laws only results in the loss of "Clan Privileges", and the ability to revive your party members. However, this IS a strategy game, and with a nicely balanced team (eg. a tank, ranger, healer) you wouldn't let anyone get KO'd, would you? :P Difficulty really depends on how you play. The "Hard" difficulty itself is recommended even for beginners, because it is fairly easy, and becomes ridiculously easy if you decide to use certain overpowered setups. But giving yourself handicaps, or using the characters that you truly feel fun playing with, can add a certain degree of challenge.Content is incredible, you will spend hours and hours on this game. If you're a fan of SRPGs, I highly recommend giving this game a go.I rate FFTA2 a 8/10

Yeah im waiting for IV on DS to. After playing FF III DS i think IV will be a huge step up for Final Fantasy on DS. Some of the screenshots for IV look really awsome aswell. Have you visited the official Japanese site?
