The story is pretty much the same as the first. A boy gets transported to a new world and has to find a way home. Luso seems to be more positive minded than Marche though. Luso treats his predicament as an adventure whereas Marche was always feeling sorry for himself.I'm looking forward to all the new auction and shop stuff too. This game looks awesome with all the new changes like turf bidding and clan battles, also im glad the made getting abilities a little tougher plus the new shop system looks really good, how's the story?

FFT A2 incorporates the DS stylus features for moving around the battlefield and selecting things in the inventory, although a nice feature it seems a bit pointless because most of us who've played FFTA are so used to cycling through the menus. I don't think I'll be using the stylus unless there's something new I think is cool, maybe the auctions?I'd agree with you on class customisation. FFTA had so many options and FFT A2 has more! The only doubt I have is to do with getting new equipment because it's all down to treasure harvesting and synthesis in FFT A2. I just hope when the time comes for my clan members to learn a new ability, I'll have the equipment for them to do just that.I'm not sure, but does anybody have any idea if and where FFTA2 incorporates the DS-features? Would I need to use my stylus, and what for?Oh, and having played both FFTA and Fire Emblem, I do think what separates the two is class customization in FFTA (and Tactics Ogre), where in Fire Emblem, the characters followed an obvious path of leveling up and getting better weapons, not much else. I love 'em both.

The basic gameplay is the same as FFT A2, although you can use the stylus if you want. Apart from the new races and classes, there's monopoly style auctions and a bigger map. JP can't be used to spam combos and totemas any more. Combo abilities are gone, like the Nu Mou morpher class which has also resulted in Hunters losing their Capture ability, and totemas are now activated via a smash gauge and also the correct artifact to summon the totema, called a scion in this game. Starting MP is zero, so the more broken jobs from FFTA like Viera assassins and red mage/summoners can't just annihilate enemy clans with superior speed or magic power any more. A lot of people don't seem to like these changes, but I think it'll make the game more challenging, so I'm all for it. There's also a Hard difficulty mode too, so there's that if the game is still too easy.Has anyone seen anything truely new about the gameplay or anything? All I've seen is the same stuff as FFTA. I'm not complaining because I still play the first one, but is there anything new aside from the new races and classes?

There's still laws but you don't get penalised as harshly if you break them. However, if you do, although there's no jagds in FFT A2, once a clan member has been KO-ed, you can't revive them until the battle is over. Obviously if you've got lots of angel rings, you'll be fine but with the new equipment synthesis "shops", obeying the laws gives you materials to make better equipment. It seems like a catch 22 situation where although you can be "bad", it's better if you're "good".I hope they got rid of those laws from the end of the first game that'd send your party to jail if you had the audacity to like... attack the enemy.

There is a 2 or 3 minute video review on that page. It was that which revealed that local wireless trading gave you raffle tickets to use in-game.Well I can't wait for this to come out, FFTA was one the few games I really enjoyed.BTW has anyone checked the IGN review? It's so...short

What are raffle tickets? Are they like lottery tickets for prizes instead of money or something? There is a 2 or 3 minute video review on that page. It was that which revealed that local wireless trading gave you raffle tickets to use in-game.
