What are raffle tickets? Are they like lottery tickets for prizes instead of money or something?

As far as I know, the prizes will be rare equipment rather than gil (money). Although given the increased difficulty in acquiring equipment compared to FFTA, it'll probably be rare minerals/materials you can use for synthesising. I'm guessing it would have be worthwhile for some people to buy a second DS and a second FFT A2 game cart because of the lack of wi-fi this game has. Otherwise, I guess people could just set up wi-fi shops in the FFT A2 universe.

thats awesome i just hope the specials are a little better in the graphics

If you mean the totemas, which are now called scions, I think you'll be blown away by the dual screen animation. It looks awesome on the trailers and I can't wait to see it for real on my own DS.If you meant the A-abilities, a lot of them have been re-animated; for example, if your Hume/Viera Archer uses Boost, a disco style glitterball "pops down" and the animation is quite funny.

They're in plenty of places, IGN are probably your best bet; try the official websites for FFT A2 too as I know there's videos there.

I can't wait. I love Ivalice. Although...I probably should go and finish Tactics Advance (heh, I've had that for quite a while now..I just haven't finished it...) and FFXII too.. But no. I'll do that after Children of Mana..

It'll be interesting for me, and maybe others, to know if after playing FFT A2 if any of us ever play FFTA seriously again, because of the subtle differences in gameplay and acquiring new equipment and jobs.

For North America it should be but allowing for the 5 hours time difference, it's 7.45am EST at the mo in New York, Miami, etc.Europe (where I live) has Friday as the release date, so I'm very mellow sitting at my work desk waiting to collect my pre-order in about 68 hours time.

The European version, just leaked online now.And no, there's usually no difference (except maybe multiple languages) between US and European games.
