I have been waiting for this for this game for awhile now. Also speaking of Final Fantasy Tactics and Luminous Arc, have you guys noticed that a character in Luminous Arc (Theo I think) looks a lot like Marche (Hero of Final Fantasy Tactics : Advance). I mean the resemblance is uncanny between them he even has the cowlick thing on his head :P. Any of you guys have Luminous Arc on shelf now at your local game store? Just curious.

Definitely looking forward to this game, even if it outright sucks I'll still play it and probably love it. The world needs more of these style of games, and you can't beat one that has online play. Perhaps it's the first step toward a Massive Multi-player Online RPG of similar concept, which would be real nice, obviously an authentic turn based system wouldn't fly in the mmo world, but with a wait/ready system like they had in Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VI I think they could make it work.

I am really wanting to play this game. I just got Hoshigami Remix and I believe it is similar styled game. What is the more exact than RPG? Turn-based strategy RPG? Don't know. But I think I am going to like Luminous Arc. Maybe it is just the anticipation!

Well from the early reviews I've seen about the game it looks like it's relativly short. Only about 20 hours but there is a new game plus mode with new content opeing up. But best of all there is wifi battles which I'm really looking forward to.

I don't know a lot of things about that game either..... All I know is that it will be a tactical-RPG and it seems that all characters are humans (to the contrary, in FFTA, there are other races)

Just an small up-date. I'm in chapter 14 and have gone through a couple wifi battles. The battles are fun but until there are more copies out there it's going to be a problem with balancing between the two players. The game tries to set you up with players of your level but so far I've bin up against players 20+ levels from me. But that isn't really a problem since even the loser gets cool items from the battle. And since there isn't any leader board or rankings there isn't a reason not to finish out a fight. I'll hopefully come across a evenly matched battle soon to really test out my abilities.

How is this? I heard mixed reviews, but I was intrigued when I saw it. I'm a fan of SRPGs myself, so I was curious.

I think it's alright. It's a fair enough SRPG, taking the battle system from FFTA and Tactics Ogre Knight of Lodis (and also Hoshigami, I hear). Character options do feel very restricted though; you can't change class and you can't recruit any randoms to your small private army. But everyone has a use.... except maybe Pollon. But of the 15 selectable characters, the other 14 are fairly well balanced. The story's... meh. You can see what's coming from some of the starting scenes. Although I thought there was a reasonable amount of character development, unlike something like FFTA. Oh, and there's alot of text. Alot. And there's no way to skip over all the dialogue, except to mash 'A'. =\

how is the game in terms of speed of battles? like how long would one encounter usually take? also, if anybody has beaten the game, how long did it take you? (i don't like buying short games.)

Erm, a hard-ish map (like, say, the first map of the last chapter... which was only hard if you were poor and severely lack the necessary equipment <_<) takes about 30 minutes? The easier ones where you just go up to your enemies and beat the crap out of them may only last 10-15 minutes. I personally didn't notice, but some people say that when compared to something like Knight of Lodis, the battles are much faster and furious. *shrugs*The guesstimate for total hours to complete is 20-25 hours. I finished it in about 20, and I actually dawdled around for quite a bit (I somehow mysteriously burn up to 15 minutes buying items for my characters and equipping them =\).Yeah, for an SRPG, it's short.

But there is a new game+ with a new area to explore for upper level adventuring. Think deep dungen from Final Fantasy Tactics. over all the game doesn't bring a lot of new gameplay elements to the genre but it does what's been done before pretty well. And really, if your a SRPG fan and have a DS there isn't much to pick up right now so might as well try this out.
